Location: Dolphin Cove Weyr
Date: month 13, day 9 of Turn 3

Humming just loud enough to hear himself over the waves, D'ren walked along the beach. Menanth walked beside him, leaving large prints in the sand that were quickly filled by the rushing waves. D'ren looked out to the sea for a moment, blinking against the sunlight. When he turned back, he saw a young woman on the beach not far from him. Another minute of walking brought him close enough to talk. "Hello."

Jenasie had been only siting there a few moments just staring out at the waves, she could spend hours out there, just doing that, it was something about the waves that made her feel peaceful. The voice behind her caught her attention and looked up into the face of a dragon rider. She gave him a smile "Hello" And then patted the sand beside her, an offer for him to sit with her, if he so chose. "I didn't know dragons went for a walk" her tone was light and amused "or is he walking you?"

The young bronzerider smiled. "I wanted to go for a walk, and he wanted to come with me. I'm D'ren, and that's Menanth."

"I'm Jenasie, and this ." She continued pointing to the dark brown firelizard asleep on her right shoulder and half buried beneath her brunette hair. ".is Chino". She glanced at bronze behind the dragon rider and then back at him, they defiantly seemed a match, both growing up and into their partnership for life no doubt "Nice to meet both of you," D'ren sat beside the woman. "So what brings you out to the beach?"

Jenasie, leaned back a little, using her hands behind her as support. "I came down to see if Zarias was about, but I haven't spotted the pod yet" Chino stirred a little and opened one lazy eye at the dragon rider, then shut it again with a chirp.

"Dolphins?" D'ren asked eagerly. "Are you a dolphineer?"

}:I want to play with dolphins,:{ Menanth said, looking out at the ocean.

She smiled "Yes, Zarias is my partner, of sorts"
Looking brefily seawards she spoke again. "Chino was ment to be helping with the dolphin spotting but feel asleep"

"Menanth can call him, if you'd like," D'ren offered. "He loves dolphins."

Jenasie gave a laugh "last time that happened the rascal didn't speck to me for a sevenday" She looked at Chino. **Lazybones** The little lizard stirred again, this time he gave himself a shake and looked at Menanth. The looked towards the ocean, ~~Dolphins~~. Jenasie sat up again and looked out at the horizon. "Well, he was right again" She pointed to the fins appearing "There they are"

Menanth gave a happy bugle. }:Dolphins!:{ D'ren smiled at his dragon and then turned to Jenasie. "Would you like to introduce them to us?"

Jenasie pushed herself up of the sand in a fluid movement that suggested luck or practise. She smiled at the Weyrling pair. There was no point in dusting herself off, she was going to get wet _anyway_. "Come on then" She called over he shoulder as she strode down to the waters edge.

The dolphins where chattering among themselves when Jenasie reached them "Dragon; Dragon" came the excited whistles and squeaks.

"This is D'ren rider of bronze Menanth" She told the pod "Dragon; Play! Dragon; Play!" came the dolphin chant and Jenasie gave a laugh looking at D'ren. "It seems they want to play with Menanth as much as he wants to play with them"

The bronze lumbered into the waves, his eyes whirling happily as he lowered his head toward the excited pod. "And what are your names?" D'ren asked the dolphins.

One dolphin in particular started circling them, whistling and carrying on in and excited fashion.
Jenasie smiled if the young female was canine she had no doubt that the young dolphin would be waging her tail. She reached down with a chuckle and patted the un-blemished seven turn old dolphin. "This one is Zarias, she's my partner"

"Nice to meet you, Zarias." D'ren held a hand out toward the dolphin.

Zarias gave a whistle ad nudged D'ren's hand.
"Friend Play?" She queried. Smiled Jenaise looked at the dragonrider again "Be warned, playing involves getting very wet"

D'ren smiled widely. "I know. I've been playing with dolphins since I came to the Weyr." He stripped off his shirt and tossed it as far up the beach as he could. Menanth was already moving deeper into the water, a few of the dolphins swimming near him.

Jenasie picked up a shell and looked at D'ren "Played fetch then?" She asked, sometimes the dolphins would fetch shell for fun; other times everyone just got very wet and ended up laughing so hard their sides hurt.

"Not often enough," the bronzerider said, still smiling. His dragon was up to his belly in the water, enjoying his escort of dolphins as he played in the water like a hatchling. }:I haven't met these dolphins before, but I like them.
And they like me. :{ Menanth said happily.

She looked over at where Menanath was surrounded by playful dolphins. Then back at D'ren, she dropped the shell and began to wade out further, She might as well get wet. Zarias gave a high pitched whistle and splashed around after her, sending water over both the dragonrider and the Dolphineer.

The dripping bronzerider laughed. "Can't say you're having a good time unless you're soaking wet!" One of the nearest dolphins agreed, giving D'ren another splash.

A smile crossed Jenasie's face, as another dolphin sprayed water al over her. She flicked her wet hair back and half lost her footing when a dolphin nudged her from behind; she ended up sitting in the water, laughing, "No you can't"
She agreed with D'ren. "As far as they are concerned, everyone gets wet"
