Mosler eyed the dragonrider wearily as he approached the man. He appeared to be lost, just wandering aimlessly near the entrance, but you never knew with dragonmen, sometimes they played games... and Mosler wasn't about to be caught up in one. "Can I help you?" It wasn't a friendly tone, but it wasn't overly hostile either.
X'amor was relieved that someone had finally noticed him. He had wanted to come visit Jenasie, Calodith was in a very pleasant mood and was willing to let the Dolphineer acompany his rider to a favorite cove, so the bluerider hadn't wanted to let the chance pass up. "Um, yes, actually I'm looking for Dolphineer Jenasie." he replied, unsure of how he should act towards the older man. He realised he hadn't introduced himself and quickly did so, "I'm X'amor, rider of blue Calodith."
"Hallmaster Mosler." he replied indifferently. Normally he would expect people to know who he was when they visited his Hall, but courtesy to dragonriders demanded an exchange of names. "What business do you have with Journeywoman Jenasie?"
X'amor blushed slightly. He should have expected such a question but had futilely hoped that the Hallmaster wouldn't bother. "Um, well, I wanted to see if she wasn't busy and wanted to acompany me on a flight." It wasn't a lie. He did want her to come flying with him but it was just for the chance to spend some time with her, nothing else.
He raised an eyebrow and asked, disapprovingly. "Does she accompany you on flights often?" Was this dragonrider taking advantage of her?
He really had no right to interfere with a journeywoman's life, he wasn't her father after all, but he was somewhat protective of all the dolphineers at the Hall.
X'amor looked at the Hallmaster with a confused look for a moment, "Um no, no sir. I only met her a few days ago." then he realized what the man was thinking and made quick to ease his worry, "She rescued me from drowning, I got caught in the riptide. After that we kind of had a...
connection." He found it odd explaining himself to the Hallmaster but the accusation in the man's eyes made him feel like he _had_ to explain himself.
"I have nothing but Jen's best interests in mind Sir." X'amor finished reassuringly.
Mosler certanily didn't like the sound of a _connection_, but he did remember Jenasie turning in a report about a riptide and a rescue. He stared down the man for a few moments then replied, "She's out on assignment right now, she'll be back in a sevenday or two."
X'amor put his hands in the pockets of his trousers, "Oh, alright then..."
he looked around for a minute, so much for the flight, "Um, well is there a way I can leave a message for her?"
"I can stick it in her box if you want to write something down." He replied evenly.
X'amor nodded and remembering that he had a writing stick and some hide in his pocket, like always, scratched a note down, Jen, I stopped by to see if you wanted to go for a flight with me, but the Hallmaster says you're out on assigment.
Come find me when you can, X'amor He handed to piece of paper to the Hallmaster.
"Did you need anything else today, rider?" He couldn't exactly kick the dragonrider out of the Hall, but he did have other business to attend to, and he didn't like the idea of letting him wander unescorted... Especially if he might wander into the apprentice areas and suddenly find more candidates for Search!
X'amor realilzed that the man probably had things to do, "Oh, um no.
I'll be on my way then." **I guess I can still go for a flight...**
"Fair Weather." Mosler said in dismissal.
X'amor inclined his head, "To you as well, Hallmaster." he then turned and made his way out of the Dolphinhall a little let down that he hadn't been able to see Jenasie.
