Cortana

Cortana

Cortana looked at her green slumbering on her couch.
Anath had been like that since early this morning, rising once to blink sleepily at Royal sleeping on her nose, then growling at the miriad other flits sleeping on her small body. Cortana had noticed not a single flit had returned to nap with their favorite dragon friend.

She had begun to worry about the green, when she realized Anath was awake. Cortana felt that familiar fury and lust that was assosiated with flights, this time only one hundred times stronger than Trill.

Anath bugled in the common fashion, and erupted from her weyr into the sky.

On the ledge above the Weyr, Luthinath roared a challenge to the other males as he launched himself hastily after the green, leaving Y'sani reeling on the ground at the sudden determination in his dragon.
**What got into you?**

}:Today is a perfect day to catch a beautiful green!:{ Luthinath replied, his excitement clear. }:You should want to win!:{ Y'sani turned to L'pin, ready to ask him to take over the weyrling class, but saw the same look on his 'second's face. "Shards, Chaneth can't leave the greens alone, can he? Should I tell Luthinath to give up now?"

}:Anath rises!:{ was the only warning D'ren got before his bronze took off after her. **Well, I did say we would be there,** D'ren thought as he raced for the Weyrbowl.

Cortana somehow found her way down to the Weyrbowl through the haze of lust and excitement, sizing up her chasers. She saw D'ren, thank the Egg there was at least one familiar face. She also saw the Weyrlingmaster and his 'Second. Her logical brain said "That's so gross!" Even though both men where in fine shape, but her dragon brain and body lusted after them like never before.

Anath soared higher into the sky on her wide wings.
She bugled her joy in the flight and glanced back at her chasers. They all looked worthy of her, but she had to see who could outfly her. She dove, flying between them, taunting them from below. There wasn't a single dragon on Pern that could catch her. She soared above her males again, proudly female.

N'kalen scrambled down to the Weyrbowl, feeding on the lust from Myanth. The blue was chasing, trying his best to catch the green. N'kalen noted that the rider was Cortana, but just barely.

Cortana reeled in the flight lust not even noticing two new arrivals. She was aloft with Anath, soaring through the clouds.

B'ram's mind was one with his Girifith. He didn't know this girl, or anything about her, but at that moment she was the most beautiful creature on all Pern. "Come to me," he whispered, reaching his hand out to touch hers, even as his brown bugled his own invitation to the young green.

Menanth kept pace with the other males, confident in his young strength. On the ground, his rider pushed past older men to brush a hand along Cortana's arm.
"Me. You want me," D'ren said in a husky voice.

Cortana looked at all of them in turn, unknowingly matching her green as she flirted with her chasers. She felt she could handle anything. It was amazing.

Anath bugled her agreement with her rider and soared around to taunt her males again. So many choices, so many worhty of her. She turned to rise hig again, but noticed the shadow to late as an unkown brown grabbed her and held on. She stuggled just for a moment, she wasn't done yet, she would choose, but the feel of him beside her betrayed her and she gave in.
