Characters: Talwynn, D'ryne
Description: D'ryne and Talwynn spend time together after Riveth's flight.
Location: Dragonsfall Weyr
Date: month 3, day 12 of Turn 4

Talwynn had been restless and snappish for the last
two days. She'd found it nearly impossible to keep her
temper in drills today when she'd seen another
greenrider come back from *between* in an absolutely
STUPID location. Shards, that woman was such a
fluffbrain, a dragon never should have chosen her.

She knew WHY she was having these surges of anger, of
course. The first day she hadn't and she'd snapped at
a few people. But today, she knew why; it was Riveth's
time to rise again and so she could keep a handle on
her temper, knowing that it wasn't her anger she was
feeling, not really.

But then someone knocked into her at dinner time,
spilling hot klah all over her arm and hand. The pain
mingled with the indignation, and Talwynn lost it.

"Watch where the shards you're going!" she snapped,
cradling her right arm against her body instinctively.
"Are you trying to kill people?"

The poor drudge winced. "I'm sorry, ma'am." he said
feebly, but he didn't get to finish his apology.

"You ought to be kept in the kitchens where you can't
have _accidents_ like this one." Talwynn bit out
before leaving the dining hall in anger, her food
right where it had been.

**Come take me to my weyr.** she requested to Riveth,
not wanting to walk up.

}:No.:{ the green snapped back. Her eyes opened and
they were whirling very strongly with the colors of
agitation and lust. Her hide was glowing.

**What?** Talwynn was shocked. Riveth, too, against
her? **It hurts and I don't want to walk. Take. me.
back.**

}:I rise.:{ the green replied, instead, leaping into
the air from her resting point on the weyrledge.

}:Come catch me! You males are far too slow.:{ she
taunted as she flew high above the Weyr.

Now Talwynn was glad that she was in the Weyrbowl, but
she was still peeved that Riveth couldn't have warned
her so that she didn't come outside. As the flight
lust began to wash over her, she rushed to the
flight weyrs, knowing the riders of the male dragons
would soon join her there.

Riveth turned and twisted through the sky, fleeing the
Weyr itself and loving the feel of the setting sun
against her glowing green hide. Pursuers began to
leave the Weyr in her wake, and she bugled in joy.
Browns and blues and even one bronze were following
her. She dove deeply and then when it seemed she would
hit the ground, pulled herself straight up into a
soaring climb before twisting and turning, intent on
shaking her pursuers.

She wearied two browns, the bronze, and a blue. Her
pack was down to one brown and three blues, and Riveth
was tiring. The green forced a few more sharp turns,
even flying back into the pack to nearly brush tails
before soaring upwards again.

The flight had been exhilarating and Riveth
particularly enticing. It had been some time since
Quirinynth had chased and the brown had no intention
of losing to another male. One of the blues had been
completely imbalanced by the green's capricious move
and another had certainly lost momentum. Bugling the
brown winged upward putting himself between the
remaining blue and the amorous green. He allowed her
to gain more height before he surged forward entwining
his neck with hers.

Riveth was caught, and Talwynn staggered under the
complete merge with her dragon, the feeling of
ultimate pleasure and lust washing through her,
making thought impossible. She found the winning
brownrider, took his hand with her wounded one (not
feeling it) and tugged him towards the flight
weyr. Once there, she began to insistently tug at his
clothes.

Awakening was pleasant, not the standard jump to
immediate consciousness that Talwynn usually had, but
instead more like a slow swim upwards through warm
water. Her mind was pleasantly fogged with the
aftereffects of the flight, and her body was warm and
relaxed. In short, it was quite nice.

}:He flew well.:{ a tired Riveth smugly told her
rider.

**Who?**

}:Quirinynth.:{

Talwynn knew him, though not overly well. He wasn't a
bad choice to wake up with- she never had any
preference, and Riveth certainly could have done
worse.

"D'ryne?" she murmured, voice husky still.

"Yes," he replied languidly, brushing a piece of hair
from her face and seeking out her grey eyes with his
equally grey orbs. "Your dragon flew incredibly
well," he stated, the compliment to Talwynn was
implied, but given his tone, he didn't think she would
miss it. This had been one of his more memorable
flight experiences.

Talwynn's total lack of experience prior to Impression
as well as her inexperience with flights and how they
affected you had made Riveth's first not as enjoyable
as it could have been. Oh, she'd been enthralled by
the unforgettable feeling of being so closely merged
with the green, but she'd hurt afterwards and it
hadn't been mindblowing like other riders said it was.
So she'd tried a few casual encounters in between
flights just to see if that did anything, and it made
it better. Maybe that practice had paid off. She'd
_enjoyed_ this time as much as Riveth had.

"The best flight she's had yet." Talwynn agreed,
reaching up to touch his face and let her fingers
trail down to his neck. He was a handsome man,
though she wasn't sure if it was the residual flight
lust or how she actually felt; she never usually
bothered looking. "I'm glad you won." And she really
was.

"I am as well," he said his lips turning up in a smile
as he captured her hand and kissed it, enjoying the
sense of leisure one had post flight. D'ryne was more
relaxed than he had been in some time. His free hand
softly grazed Talwynn's hip as he considered the rider
beside him. She was a handsome woman, not classically
beautiful but attractive, her eyes particularly
alluring. Talwynn's athletic form was enticing to a
dragonrider like himself. "This," and here is hand
moved softly to her lower back, "Was most enjoyable,
thank you."

Talwynn shivered instinctively and then wriggled
against him, enjoying his touch. "It's after dinner
and there's still time..." she suggested, hardly
daring to believe her own words. Liaisons had been
once, as had flights-to suggest a second time, and
after a flight, where she hadn't chosen her partner...
but she was enjoying herself too much to
care.

D'ryne claimed Talwynn's lips with his own in answer
to her invitation. He couldn't remember the last time
he had allowed himself to linger after a flight and
he'd had no other liaisons for at least two turns.
She felt good in his arms, and for the first time in a
long time, he was not thinking of the past but taking
pleasure in the present.
