"This is _not_ funny, A'mus." She looked around to see if she could find anyone sitting back laughing at them. She remained calm so as not to add to the hilarity for the jokesters. She looked back at him and fixed him with a pointed stare. "Who put you up to this? Was it Birigundi?" She would castrate him with her fingernails.
"Birigundi? What does he have to do with this?" A'mus felt his dreams crumble. "Nasiria, why would I joke around with something as serious as my heart? I mean everything I've said. Every word of it."
}:Omath says she is not a good person:{ Inith butted in with slight agitation. }:And I don't like her either:{
**Give her a chance Inith** He begged of his beast.. "Please, Nasiria, you have to see that my feelings for you are genuine.."
~*~
Should he interfere? Ch'lis hesitated, but when he saw the desperation flood over A'mus he finally made his way to the table.

"Don't even bother trying to tell me no one put you up to this." She was becoming angrier at his denial. It was clear she was on to them.
Why wouldn't he just admit it? "Your dragon is barely Hatched. Where did you get this flower?" She said accusingly.
"I found the flower in a botany book, and sent my cousin, V'resat, out to find it," he replied defensively. "I would have waited until Inith and I could fly, but that would take months, and the flower only blooms a few sevendays out of the turn, and in very few places. It took us several tries to find it. It's a really rare flower and I wanted you to have it, I thought you were worth it," but now he found himself second guessing himself; still, it was just a big misunderstanding, she had to believe him.
**Inith, tell her please, tell her the truth and maybe she'll see**
}:Talk to her? I'd rather speak to a watch-wher:{ Inith snorted.
**Inith please!** A'mus was desperate now.
Inith still refused.
And then Ch'lis appeared. **Oh no, not now** He just wanted to hide his face and die a quick death.
"A'mus what by the egg do you think you're doing?!" Ch'lis exclaimed in disbelief. "Have you lost your mind?"
"Well, Ch'lis. I should have known you were a part of this. Sorry, but I didn't fall for your little joke. Try to have him be a little more realistic next time he pretends to be in love with someone. _No_ one talks like that. He sounded as if he was quoting Harper's tale."
Wow "You really are thick aren't you?" he stated rather than asked, before he brushed her off.
"Ch'lis," A'mus was finally turning fiercely red, partially from his embarrassment, and mostly from his anger with his friend's interference. "Please go away," his voice was firm. **Did you tell him?**
}{ Inith defended himself..
"Yes, Ch'lis, please go away." She looked around again. "Go find the rest of your gang of pranksters and tell them better luck next time.
But you really should pick another person to play the love-struck admirer. A'mus isn't realistic at all."
"Wait, what?" he asked confusingly and looked back to Nasiria.
"Ch'lis," A'mus warned again, but Ch'lis waved him off.
"You think I made him do this to you?" How ironic! And completely hilarious. She thought that men threw themselves at her, and when one finally did, she did not believe him. Ch'lis could not help but laugh at the ignorant girl. "You really are a piece of work! You finally meet someone who admires you the way you think everyone else does, and you don't believe him? And here I am, having to pull A'mus's head out of the clouds for the past turn because of you. I've never seen anyone so love struck like him, and over _you_ off all people. You don't even deserve it! Besides, why by the egg would I waste my time with a weyr brat like you? You aren't even worth it."
A'mus was completely mortified now.
}:Are you okay?:{
**I can't feel my lips or fingers anymore..**
She was trying to sort through his babble about A'mus, but then all she heard was his insult. "Good question. Why _would_ you waste your time flirting with me. Even if I thought you were remotely attractive, you _know_ I wouldn't have anything to do with a _blue_."
Ch'lis could only scoff at her accusation.. "Nasiria, you think too highly of yourself.." He glanced at A'mus who seemed to slowly recover from the reality that he was dumped into. "Can't you see she's just a girl trying to play in a woman's world?" He had too now.
}:I don't like her:{ Inith pushed his rider to forget her.
"Yeah," he spoke in a soft voice, agreeing with his beast and Ch'lis.
He was completely crushed. She was not the woman that he loved, she never was. His Nasiria was nothing more than a dream, while the Nasiria of reality... A'mus stood to his feet. He just wanted to leave, and sulk away from his humiliation. He was both enraged, and subdued from the interlude with the girl. After witnessing her true color he _knew_ she really was not worth it. He dropped the violet flower to the table as he stood to leave. It meant nothing to him now.
"Let's go Ch'lis."
Nasiria hardly noticed A'mus as she became more and more furious with Ch'lis. She did notice that the other precious flower lay on the table. As much as she wanted to have them both, she resisted the urge to take it. "Trust me. I'm more of a woman than you'll _ever_ have."
Not wanting to give him another chance to belittle her, she stomped away, holding tight to her own bloom so that she wouldn't drop it. She didn't believe for a moment all of that tripe about finding the perfect flower to match her beauty, but the blossom _was_ lovely. It wouldn't hurt to keep it.
A'mus stood completely astounded at Nasiria's behavior.
}:Don't see her anymore. I don't like her. She's mean:{ Inith seemed to hiss.
"Are you okay A'mus?" Ch'lis attempted to calm his friend.
"Yeah, I'm fine," and surprisingly relieved, and invigorated. Not only was Ch'lis right, but A'mus's humiliation was completely lifted. If anything Nasiria had just made a complete _arse_ of herself, which cleared him of any wrong doings. "I can't believe it. She was nothing more than a mere child."
"A brat?" Ch'lis had to add to the insult.
"A selfish brat." He never felt so free. The only thing he regretted was giving his heart to her for so long... "I mean, did you hear how she spoke to you? 'You're only a blue?'" It was outrageous! "How dare she she belittle you because of your dragon's hide."
"Don't forget how she still flaunted herself," Ch'lis mustered with a laugh.
"I think she needs some practice," A'mus had to join in Ch'lis's chuckle. "She tries too hard." It was astonishing that that he had never noticed any of this before. He had been so caught up in her, that he ignored her extensive flaws. He knew no one was without a blemish, but Nasiria had nothing but scars and imperfections.
"And don't worry about what Nasiria said. 'I am more of a woman than you'll ever have,'" Ch'lis could not help but sneer at her arrogance.
He had to admit he loved arrogance in his lovers, but Nasiria's arrogance bordered closer to stupidity. "You'll find better than her, trust me."
If he could not, he knew he was in trouble. Even her attraction meant nothing to him anymore. Her personality had rung through so clearly that it completely soured her appearance. "You want to get some food?
I'm starving." It was just occurring to him just how hungry he really was.
"That's the best idea I've heard today. I think they might have some fresh rolls out if you want one," and Ch'lis could use one himself.
Even Mare flapped her wings excitedly and squawked at the idea of food.
"Yeah, that sounds good." Before he left the table with Ch'lis he took one more glance at the flower on the table. What a waste! Was all he could think about regarding the violet beauty that he had put so much effort into finding for her. He only hoped now that Nasiria would never Impress, because no dragon deserved an egotistical, self-absorbed child like her.
