Characters: Causton, Reeta
Description: Reeta brings Causton some lunch and seems to discomfort the Master.
Location: Vintner Hall
Date: month 10, day 27 of Turn 4

Reeta knocked upon the door to the Hallmaster's office, then pushed it open once given leave. Upon her arm was a basket and the smell that emanated from it seemed to indicate that something, or perhaps several delicious somethings, were waiting within. She smiled to the Master and closed the door behind her, drawing close to his desk. "Master Causton, I've brought you some lunch."

"What?" Causton looked up distractedly, he had been going over the results of the latest count of viable vines in one of the fields and the news wasn't good. He looked up when the scent of his meal wafted across to him, "Oh, er Reeta, thank you." he stood and made his way around his desk, pushing aside more hides and papers from the smaller bench to the side, to make room for the basket. "Just leave it here, thank you." he said, remembering at the last minute to flash her a smile of thanks.

Reeta sauntered across the room and placed the basket upon the table, smiling brightly. "I've brought your favourite treats to. I thought you deserved a little something, you've been working so hard."

"Not much more than usual." he answered still slightly distracted as his mind couldn't really leave the problem he'd left on the hidework. "But I thank you, it all smells delicious." he bestowed another hurried smile, trying to dismiss the woman without words.

"Well, why don't you leave me pour you some wine. I managed to slip some into the basket." without waiting for an answer, Reeta opened said basket and took out said wine along with a cup. She uncorked the bottle and poured it out, then leaned over to hand it to him. She, perhaps, leaned over farther than she really needed too, giving the crafter a flash of her rather ample bosom.

"Oh...um, thank you." he said, realising only as his eyes refocused from his inner thoughts, where he was looking. He felt a colour rise up from his throat. "Er, you don't have to stay Reeta, I _can_ serve myself..." he finished, lamely.

"I don't mind." Another bright smile was offered and Reeta began to carefully move things aside to make room for a handkerchief upon which she began to arrange the food. "I don't mind at all. I took the liberty of bringing you a freshly baked tart and wrapped it up. It should stay warm until you're ready to eat it."

"Er, yes, I can see." Causton was beginning to feel a little uncomfortable by the woman's attentions, but she was being so polite and caring, he didn'twant to hurt her feelings by asking her to leave.

Reeta leaned over once more to reach for something in the far end of the basket. She gave Causton another delightful look at her bosom, cleavage wiggling a bit as if for his entertainment. She straightened, though as little as possible and placed the small round of cheese with the other parts of his meal. "Please, eat, drink. I'm sure you must be starving."

He wished now, that he hadn't left word with the Headwoman and Daigoro that he wasn't to be disturbed today, because surely one of them would have been here by now to save him. Geni hadn't called in today either, could he hope for his wife's rescue? His eyes flitted from the display Reeta was putting on for him, and the doorway - wishing someone would knock and enter.

"So." Reeta placed her hands upon the desk, leaning over one last time, her smile taking on a more sultry look. "Anything else I can do for you?"

He could feel relief washing over him at her words, did this mean she would leave him in peace? "Umm...no. No I don't think there's any more that I need right now Reeta. If I think of anything I'll send a message to the kitchens." he nodded eagerly.

"Just ask for me." The woman encouraged, hesitating a moment before she straightened. "I'll be more than happy to provide for any of your needs."

"I, arr, yes, I will, thank you." he nodded and smiled as he guided her without actually touching her, towards the door. "Thank you for...er, this repast." he said, opening the door, hoping she didn't realise what a relief it was for him to be rid of her.

Reeta turned and headed toward the door, hips swaying with every step. She paused to flash him one last smile before slipping out of sight.

Causton's breath release in a sudden gush. Relief flooded him and he had barely recovered his composure when Geni knocled briefly and entered the room. "Shards woman!" he exclaimed. "Your timing is really, _really_ bad."
he continued shaking his head. He opened his arms and pulled her into an embrace, grateful for her presence, but wishing she had timed it a few moments earlier.
