Description: Aletta learns that Traelyn is the new Weyrwoman of Dolpihn Cove
Location: Dolphin Cove Weyr
Date: month 8, day 3 of Turn 3
Aletta stared at the older greenrider in shock. "Who is this Traelyn? What kind of rider is she that she brought her queen to another Weyr when she was due to rise?" The young greenrider was suprised enough that she droped her usual greeting to her wingmate.
Tavia shurgged, "All I know is that she's from Dragonsfall. Rumor is she never even noticed that her queen was going to rise."
Aletta sighed, "Unbelivable, I knew a golf had risen, who could miss it, but this is unbelivable. She should have been in her Weyr, not our's.
She had to smile at the younger greenrider. "What do you think about J'darin being Weyrleader? Wasn't he your Weyrlingmaster second?"
Aletta shook her head, "Forturantly no, I had M'calk as weyrlingmaster.
I've heard J'darin dosen't like blueriders though.
"I heard the same thing, about the blueriders I mean, except I heard it was just one and it had something to due with a greenrider, but you know how rumors are."
"So about this Traelyn, has she ever lead a wing in fall? I'm not saying that I know how to lead a wing, I don't, but we don't know anything about her. Can she be a good Weyrwoman is she dosen't even pay attention to her queen's cycle. I would think that a queens's would be even more obvious than a green's and Farsith is easy to predict." Aeltta was still supprised. "After all the lectures we had as weyrlings. It dosen't matter if more than one green rises in the same weyr, but what if Ikoladith had been close to rising? It could have been a disaster!"
"Clam down would you? Ikoladith did not rise or Jyramikah would be Weyrwoman. I agree with you it was rekless of Traylen to take her queen away from Dragonsfall, even stupid but, thank Farneth, everything went well." Tavia regraded her friend. "Speaking of Farsith, when's she due to rise?
Aletta turned red, "Any day now." Then she laughed, "Guess I'm acting the green aren't I?"
"Just a little, no harm done. I've got to run, Sawuath wants her bath.
Meet you for dinner?" Tavia asked.
"Sure." Aletta repiled, her mind already shifting to Farsith's coming flight.
