Location: Dolphin Cove Weyr
Date: month 13, day 9 of Turn 4
He watched as a wingmate dodged a clump of thread and turned to catch it before it could fall to much farther. He was doing well and was sure that this fall was nearly over. Lumyth was flying well.
B'drin was getting tired. He had flown the whole fall. Even after he had nearly collided with a younger rider. The boy had come out of /between/ right in his path. Lumyth was focused enough to miss the boy. It was lucky for the boy.
B'drin sighed as he caught another bag of firestone. He deftly caught it and fed more to his brown. He turned to look for the boy he had nearly collided with earlier, only to find the boy coming out of between above him again. This time the boy flew straight into a clump with eyes wide. B'drin cringed.
With his eyes on the pair as they winked out he was unaware of the clump falling onto him. He felt it a mere moment later as it slid down his back and across Lumyth's side.
Suddenly they where /Between/. Lumyth came out above the weyr and began to spiral down. B'drin lay across his back, his eyes fluttered as he hovered on oblivion. Lumyth landed and people climbed up to carefully undo his straps and pull him down.
He was carefully carried away and placed on a cot on his stomach. Lumyth hovered until another dragon carefully calmed him so he could be tended to. B'drin was out of it and didn't hear the reassurances.
It didn't take long for him to be cleaned, and tended. He felt the pain ease and was able to remain conscience. He sent calming thoughts to his dragon. Lumyth calmed and B'drin allowed himself to slip into sleep. This had been a very hard day. He only had one last thought. He wondered how the young pair had faired and weather they had survived this fall.
