"Just one moment brownrider," the Wingsecond said after the drill had finished.
Z'al nodded. He waited a moment. He ran a hand through his hair as he stood there.
"I just wanted to check on your progress for a moment, it's nothing to worry about," assured K'deren.
Z'al smiled. "I'm doing well sir."
"In all things?" Donneth had noted the younger brown drifting slightly out of formation in one of their manoeuvres. It could be inexperience, but that was often hard to tell.
Z'al sighed. He was a bit tired. His weyrmate was having trouble sleeping lately. She had not been doing well with being separated from their daughter. And it looked like she may be pregnant again. "Just a bit tired sir." He admitted. He was sure K'deren didn't want to hear all his family troubles.
"Spill it," the sigh said more than words could, it seemed something was bothering the youngster. Better to get to the bottom of it now before it caused trouble.
Z'al sighed and looked at him sheepishly. "Kirranna has been having trouble sleeping since Ziarra went to live with a foster mother. She hasn't been sleeping well either." he glanced back toward the weyr. Distraction was currently watching over his two children along with Kirranna's Sonny. "Guess I'm just worried about her. The strain of being pregnant during her weyrlinghood and then having to give her child to someone else has been really hard. And she thinks she is pregnant again." He shook his head. His sleep had been rough. he worried for her and her green.
"You need to get her checked out by the healers. That's an order brownrider."
"I've been trying. She doesn't seem to want to go. I may have to drag her there." He sighed. "I will try sir." He ran a hand through his hair. His eyes were red rimmed. Nyinth crooned softly at the distress his rider was feeling.
"I expect to hear from you tomorrow that both of you have been, otherwise I will be passing it on to the Wingleader, and he would likely ground you."
Z'al flinched and nodded. He would take her even if she didn't want it. She was dealing with it badly and he knew she needed help. He was afraid she was keeping something from him. "I will take her immediately. Even if I have to carry her over my shoulder."
"Good." K'deren looked the young man up and down. "Now go."
Z'al nodded and turned to head for his weyr. He would follow his wingsecond's orders whether Kirranna liked it or not. he sighed as he opened the door. This was going to be a fight he just knew it.
