Tavia

Tavia

X'amor winced in pain as he tried to move his arm into a more comfortable position as he laid in the makeshift sick bay in the Bowl. He was scorred from the top of his right shoulder down to the bottom center of his chest. It wasn't deep but it hurt horribly.

He stayed calm, he knew that his dragon was okay, there hadn't been a scratch on him but he wanted to be near his dragon, gain strength from his warm body.

**So many others get strength from lovers when they are sick, I don't.**

He looked up as a healer, who was also a rider, came towards him, he saw that she was mentally assesing his injury, hopefully she could give him something more for the pain.

Tavia sighed inwardly, some of the younger riders weren't being seen as quickly as they could because they stayed with thier dragons, she asked Sawauth his name. "X'amor? I need you in the infermary so I can get a good look at your score."

The bluerider nodded and getting up followed the attractive healer to the infermary.

"I need something for the pain, someone gave me something, but it only got rid of the bight." he winced as he took a deep breath.

"That my young friend is a precaution." Tavia explained, "It allows us to judge the true extent of your injury. What exactly happened?" she asked perparing the numbweed and cleansing solutions.

"Well, it must have been a small bunch, but I saw it to late, and so when I leaned back, it still got me and brushed me from my sholder down. Calodith went /between/ before it got him, but at least this isn't too deep." he tried to smile as he reassured himself. For some reason this healer was getting more and more atractive. He chided himself, **stop your hopeless fantasies, women don't like you.**

Tavia nodded. "Now hold still this will sting a little." She warned. Within a few mintues she had cleansed and bandaged the score's full length. She handed him a packet of herbs, "I want you to drink this as a tea for the next seven day. It's moss tea and meadowsweet. It will help with the pain and keep the score from getting infected. Make sure you take it everyday." She said sternly.

X'amor nodded, "I will do so, thank you." He began to get up when he turned back to her and asked, "Should I come get this bandage changed at any time?"

"Two days unless the pain doesn't ease, then have your blue bespeak my green rather than trying to get down here."

He nodded again and then very randomly he asked her, "Tavia, do most of your patients have someone with them by the time they are in the infermary? Like a friend or a loved one?"

"What do you mean?" she asked not understanding.

"Some one who comes to check on them, make sure they're all right." He didn't know why this was bothering him so much, he just knew that it did, and he felt comfortable venting it to this attractive healer.

"It's not fair, not everybody has someone, Ach!" he sighed. "I'm sorry Tavia."

"It's alright X'amor" she said soothingly trying to calm the rider. "And no, not everyone does. Someriders don't have family here. And if you where bad enough to reqire being kept here, you'd get more company than you want from healers." she grinned. "We have a habit of being annoying that way."

X'amor smiled, this healer was more comforting than most.

"Tavia, do you think that sometime, we could have dinner," he stumbled, it had been a long time since he had done this. "I mean you know just talk?"

Tavia was a little suprised and did her best to hide it, most people forget her rather easly and she expected this bluerider to do the same. "I...well... I don't see why not." she stammered suddnely lost for words.

X'amor smiled, she wasn't used to this either.

"Thank you. I'll talk to you soon." He walked stiffly as he left, turning back once to give the healer a tired but happy smile.

Tavia smiled and turned to hide her grin. Aletta was going to flip!
