Description: Tavia's Green Sawauth rises at Dolphin Cove Weyr
Location: Dolphin Cove Weyr
Date: month 12, day 10 of Turn 5
Notes: Mentions: Vandor
Sawauth had been proddy for days and Tavia was feeling the effects.
With a normally sunny disposition this snappish behavior was very out
of character for her and she wanted it to stop. Poor Vandor couldn't
have known she would react the way she did and finally she'd just run
from the infirmary with a mumbled apology and "I've got to go."
Now she was wringing her hands and pacing in her weyr looking at the
green glowing in her sleeping couch and wishing above all she would
just rise already.
Suddenly Sawauth snapped awake eyes whirling purple/red with her state
of mind and with a scream she launched from the lip of their weyr.
Darting into the skies above Dolphin Cove's bowl she almost crooned to
the males on the heights as her green glowing body shot into the sky
with a flirt of her tail.
Tavia felt the surge and was grateful it was finally happening. Her
mind started to meld with her dragons as the ran toward the flight
room to stand panting in the middle. Finally she gave up her struggle
to remain Tavia and became Sawauth darting through the clouds as the
plodding males gave chase.
}:Sawauth rises!:{ Ohoneth bugled the thought into C'jex's mind.
Instantly the bluerider felt his dragons desires and knew he had to
get to the Flight room. Leaving the half-finished meal, he darted out
of his weyr and soon found himself standing but a hands-breath from
Tavia's form. Yet, it wasn't Tavia he saw. C'jex _was_ Ohoneth and
through his eyes he saw the glorious form of Sawauth glowing with
mating desire. He wanted her and he would chase her.
Rahmuth bugled and darted after the green. The experienced brown
wasn't fastest but he was strong. He declared his intentions loudly,
trying to impress her.
Sh'dori grinned when he saw who the rider was. At least Tavia wasn't
someone straight out of weyrling wing, but seasoned rider and good
company. Now, there's was someone who's flight he would enjoy winning.
(Of course, he enjoy every won flight, even those with male rider).
Kedvencth flexed his wings and twisted in the sky, showing off how the
sun sparkled on his bronze hide. And it sparkled, N'mor had washed him
just this morning.
There was just enough of D'ren left to be thankful that the rider this
time was a woman, and someone he knew. As Menanth climbed higher in
the sky, their minds drew closer and closer, until D'ren was one with
his dragon. The bronze had learned to pace himself a little, so he
didn't push himself to get ahead of the speedy blues. The darting
green ahead of him was enticing, but he would wait for the right
moment to claim Sawauth.
She darted through the skies teasing her suitors as they chased her.
Her glowing green hide shone in the sunlight and she flew joyfully
though the air with her bevy of males in hot pursuit. Two young
bronzes flew strongly behind her and glinted in the sunlight and one
of the blues caught her eye. He was tricky that one and almost caught
her but she dodged away. She wasn't tiring yet and they would have to
work harder to catch the brilliant green.
Ohoneth darted through the skies after Sawauth. }:You are beautiful:{
he called out to her as he dipped to keep pace with her. His wings
beating to catch the stronger bronzes. Then, suddenly she had turned
and he thought he had her, but he roared in frustration when she
nimbly slipped from his grasp. He pushed himself harder, feeling as
though she was just barely out of his reach. C'jex had taken a step
closer to Tavia, his mind one with Ohoneth. His heart beat as fast and
hard as the blue's wings, his breath almost close enough to touch her.
Yet, his body dared not, not unless his lifemate captured the prize.
Ohoneth spiraled downward just a hair bit and felt his wing almost
graze Sawauth, yet he wasn't close enough to catch her.
Rahmuth was preserving his strenght to the end of the Flight. He left
the fancy flying tricks to the younger and more agile dragons.
Watching the blues ahead of him was getting frustrating, but Menanth
kept himself in check. He couldn't hold back much longer, though.
Sawauth was so beautiful, and he wanted her.
Sawauth began to tire and as she looked at the ones chasing her there
were none there to which her rider was partial. The blues were gallant
and flattering and the bronzes were young and strong but she had
always preferred brown.
She dodged her closest pursuer one last time and chose the strong
brown by swooping into his reach.
Rahmuth didn't hesitate, his strong claws clutched her and tail
entwained with hers.
Kedvencth snorted with disappointment and turned to return home.
Tavia dimly felt strong arms enfold her before she was swept away on
the tide of dragonlust, her consciousness a shadow entwined with
Sawauth as she spiraled from the clouds with her chosen mate.
Sh'dori just picked her up and carried her to the closest mating cot.
Menanth's disappointment clouded D'ren's mind as he turned to the
circle of women. He knew he could fight the flight lust if he tried
hard enough, but he didn't want to. He took the hand of someone near
his age and hurried off to find relief.
Ohoneth roared with disappointment as he turned away from the flight.
He would take his time getting back to work off the frustration of
losing the beautiful green. C'jex, too, was disappointed. His usual
friendly demeanor clouded by the lust that longed to be fulfilled.
Fists clenched he turned away from the pair who were already in each
others arms, only to be greeted by a willing face. He didn't delay.
Taking her hand, he moved quickly away from the others.
