Description: L'keri brings a message to DCW's Weyrleader and drops into the Dining cavern to get a snack and also spots Kirra
Location: Dolphin Cove Weyr
Date: month 8, day 3 of Turn 3
L'keri found Dolphin Cove Weyr quieter than usual, and he and Rhalith saw many injured dragons resting in the sun outside ground-level weyrs and on the beach. Though by now he was used to the sight of torn wings and deep wounds, the sight still made him draw breath through his teeth in a hiss.
}: Some of them will not fly again, :{ Rhalith said soberly as he landed. }: But most will recover eventually. :{
He was shamefully glad to get indoors and deliver his message, not wanting to look at those patient whirling eyes any longer. By the time he'd handed it over to the Weyrleader and been asked to wait for a reply, though, his natural cheerful nature had restored itself and he decided to go to the Weyr's Dining Cavern and find himself a snack - and perhaps an attractive woman to share it with.
The snack was easily found, and as for the woman - he spotted a pretty girl with Candidate's knots sitting on her own and headed over to her table.
"Good day!" He gave her his best winning smile. "May I join you?"
She smiled back at the Rider who looked a few years older than her but seemed pleasant enough. Kirra had been getting tired of eating alone lately anyway. "Sure."
She flicked her hair back with a practiced wave of her hand revealing her soft sholder that showed from the short sleeved tunic she was wearing. She might as well have a little fun before she had to go back to chores and she had never seen this rider before so she guessed that he was from a diifferent weyr and so she considered it safe enough to toy with him.
"My name's L'keri, from River Bluff Weyr. And who do I have the honour of addressing?" he asked, his grin ruining the exaggerated formality somewhat.
Playing along, she gave him her hand for him to kiss and replied, "Kirranna, Candidate of Dolphin Cove Weyr," She smiled and continued, "and it's a pleasure to meet you L'keri."
"Oh, the pleasure's _all_ mine, Kirranna," L'keri replied, impressed with his success. He certainly wasn't losing his touch! "I'm here on messenger duty, but perhaps I should visit more often if all the Candidates at Dolphin Cove are as delightful as you."
She smiled indifferently. "Oh, well that would be _if_ there _were_ any other Candidates as delightful as me."
L'keri raised an eyebrow. She certainly wasn't a modest little thing - which was rather more interesting than otherwise. "You're a charming young lady, but the _most_ delightful of all the Candidates?" He leaned closer. "I'd have to get to know you better to make a judgement on that."
Leaning even closer to him and letting her shirt front fall a little low to let only him have a plesant view. She made sure her full lips would catch his eye as well and made her voice a low, tender whisper, "Well I guess that's just what you're going to have to do then." She liked this rider he had a good since of humor and she decided she might not totally blow him off, he actually might be some one fun to be with.
He finished off his snack and pushed the plate aside. "Well, my delightful Kirranna, perhaps you could show me around your Weyr while I await an answer to my message? I've only visited the main areas before and would like to see the more...secluded corners. I'm sure you know some..."
She smiled mischeviously, "Well, I know some..." She slid gracefully out of her chair and giving him a beaming smile she took his hand and led the way.
