She walked through the Weyr, thinking about the things she had to do
tomorrow. With her duties done for today, she was looking for a way to
unwind. Qorri's eyes roved over the riders that were in the Bowl.
Grunting, she walked farther, making her way to the beach. There was
a carisak in her hand, full of a towel, food, and water.

**What a beautiful day** Finding a strip of beach that was as yet
unoccupied, she spread out her things and made a place. Untying the
straps of her sundress, she laid down on her belly, allowing the sun
to warm her skin.

Hanunth had quite enough of water for one day and had decided he wanted
to sun himself up on the cliff next to a couple pretty little greens.
He had flown his lifemate further down the beach than most tended to go
if they were on two legs, so it was a bit of a hike back to the Weyr.
R'mer didn't mind. The sun felt warm on his skin. He preferred sun to
cold stone any day.

Qorri heard someone coming and she raised up, forgetting she had untied
the straps for the moment. So when she came up, the top of the dress
went down.

Lost in his own thoughts, the movement caught R'mer's eye and he stopped
to look where the sudden motion had come from. As he turned to look,
the first thing that caught his attention was the breasts lying bare
before him, which was embarrassing enough, but when he realized who they
belonged to, he turned positively crimson. "Headwoman," he said,
dipping his head politely and averting his eyes with some difficulty.
Shards, who would have thought what was hiding under her proper dress
and serious expression! R'mer had every intention of continuing on
towards the Weyr and leaving her to her privacy, though he was sure it
would be hard to look at her with her clothes on and not think about
that sight!

Seeing his reaction, she frowned in confusion for a moment, before she
looked down and realized why. Then, Qorri looked back, seeing his knots
and thinking. Pulling herself all the way up, she grabbed the straps and
covered herself for the moment. "Well met, rider. Would you mind tying
these back for me?"

He couldn't think of a reason to refuse. It would be impolite. But he
really hoped she just thought he had a sunburn. "All right. I mean...
Of course." He knelt down on the blanket behind her and took the straps
in hand, resisting the urge to tie them fast unless he should tie them
too tightly.

She felt his indecision and smiled to herself. The boy had to have gone
through a flight by now, so he couldn't be a virgin. Still, he wasn't
exactly seasoned either. "Thank you."

"Is there anything else you need me to do?" It wasn't that R'mer was
looking for a job to do, but it seemed every time he met the Headwoman
she found some way to put him to work.

"Not for the moment. You look like you could use some sun cream,
though." She put her hand on his shoulder. "Were you swimming or?"

Despite the heat, R'mer felt bumps rise on his arms. "Uh... swimming."

Qorri grabbed the jar she kept and opened it. Dipping her palm into the
white stuff, she began to cover R'mer with it. Slowly, she touched his
exposed skin, taking her time with the application. "Swimming is good
exercise."

R'mer was stunned and not sure what to do in this situation. The touch
of her fingers caressing his skin was creating all sorts of wonderful
sensations that he didn't exactly want to stop, but he didn't know what
to _do_! This was the _Headwoman_ for Faranth's sake! So he just held
perfectly still. Her statement seemed to beg a response though, so he
did muster a half-hearted, "Uh huh."

Once she was done, she put the cream up. "There, that's better. So how
are you doing these days?"

The bronzerider felt a strange sense of disappointment when the
Headwoman had finished. "Fine, I suppose. I'm all settled into the new
weyr now." He wondered if she even remembered the day he had helped her
carry a dead rider's things to storage.

"Good. We like to keep our bronzeriders happy. That way you can focus on
your duties." She put a bit of emphasis on the word happy, smiling as
she did. "Are you hungry? I have some...food here." She rummaged through
her carisak, looking down to provide him a view of her chest within the
dress.

For all his time at the Weyr, R'mer was still a very innocent soul and
thought he was being rather daring and rude as he drank in the offered
view. "A little," he lied.

Qorri pulled out some of the sandwiches she had wrapped up and brought.
There was also some fruit slices. She unwrapped some of those and
offered a slice to R'mer. "Here, try it."

He took it and obediently nibbled on the corner, though his eyes kept
falling towards the dip of her dress, hoping for another peek. "It's
very good," he muttered, not really tasting the fruit itself.

"We should have another queen rising soon. Has your bronze chased yet?"
she asked conversationally, thinking of segueing into other questions
about mating.

R'mer nodded, chewing thoughtfully. "He's chased a gold before." He
had been very young at the time, of course, and had no real shot at
winning.

"How did that feel for you?" Qorri didn't know if the boy was Weyrbred
or not.

He stopped mid chew, feeling like he was missing something. "I don't
really know what you mean..."

"I've never been able to experience a goldflight...as a rider of course.
You hear stories but..what's it like?" Qorri's eyes darkened slightly, a
hint of what she was thinking.

R'mer wasn't good with words. Some of his wingmates had a real way with
describing things. When they spoke it was like poetry.
This bronzerider spoke much plainer. He envied their abilities,
especially now when she was looking at him so... expectantly. Like she
wanted something from him. It made him uncomfortable, and yet he felt
eager to please. "Like being drunk. And starving. But not hungry for
food."

"What are you hungry for, R'mer?" she asked as she put one of the fruit
slices into her mouth.

The movement drew his eyes to her mouth, which was surely the
Headwoman's intention. Blushing slightly when he couldn't find a more
subtle way to answer her question he mumbled, "Well... sex."

She put a finger on his chest, then brought it down slowly. "Are you
hungry now?"

R'mer might have been innocent, but he was not a fool. He knew the
Headwoman was propositioning him. For sex. The _headwoman_,
propositioning _him_ for _sex_! The very thought made his palms sweat a
little and his heart race. But then he remembered the image of those
beautiful, round breasts, and his pulse increased for another reason.
His eyes traveled up to where they lay hidden under that thin layer of
fabric, already imagining releasing them from their confinement, and
despite the knot of fear in his stomach he nodded silently.

"Then eat your fill," she said simply, putting the food out of the way.
