J'nor felt his palms grow sweaty as he dismounted from Zoranaith onto O'ryn's weyr ledge. He hadn't spent any time with the other boy since graduation, and he was a bit nervous. They could do things now. Sexual things. Things that he'd been fantasizing about every waking moment when Zoranaith was asleep for months now.
He felt like a 12 turn old about to kiss a girl for the first time.
The greenrider had beaten him there, sending the weyrling back to his barracks to get a change of clothes before coming to his own weyr. He came out onto the ledge to meet J'nor now, holding his hand out for the bag in the taller man's hand. "I'll take care of that. Make yourself at home," he ordered quietly, noting the nervous expression on J'nor's face.
"Sure," J'nor said, kicking off his boots, and walking into the living area of the weyr. O'ryn's weyr was far neater than his own, although there were some things out of place here and there. **Maybe I don't need my own weyr,** he thought to himself, but immediately dismissed the thought. It was too early to be thinking like that!
O'ryn put the bag in his room, next to the bed, before returning to the main room. "Sit!" he scolded, a laugh in his voice. "I'm not going to jump you without warning. It _is_ your first day as a senior weyrling. Sit, take a minute just to relax and unwind. It's been a rough couple of sevendays."
"Yeah, yeah it has. Your group has gotten through blooding pretty well though," J'nor commented. He wondered if his group would be as lucky. He sat down, stretching out his long limbs, glad to be able to relax - if only for a while.
Nodding, O'ryn settled down next to him, leaning companionably against J'nor's side. "We were incredibly lucky. Only a couple of minor injuries, no scorings," he mused. "Just so you know, if you go off and get yourself killed now, after we made it this far, I will never forgive you."
"I can see it now, you'd lecture me every time you went /between/ for the rest of your life. That would be amusing to see in three cough bursts. 'J'nor I am.....so very upset... that you were not.... more careful going.... between...' that would be great!" J'nor joked.
O'ryn jerked back, his expression hurt. "Don't. You. Dare. Don't joke about that."
"I'm sorry, I just wanted to try and make light of the situation a bit. I'm tired of being stressed all the time. I'm going to pull a muscle from being so sharding tense," J'nor responded, pulling O'ryn to him.
It helped, a little. The greenrider wrapped his arms around the body pressed against his own, rubbing gently at J'nor's tight muscles. "I have a salve that you might want to try," he murmured. "It's wonderful for sore muscles."
"A salve?" He said, his tone interested. "I could use some I think. I'm never going to survive classes tomorrow in this much pain." He moaned slightly as O'ryn hit against a particularly tight knot in his back. "That feels good."
The greenrider chuckled, "Alright then, go strip down and get into bed. I'll be right there." O'ryn turned away from J'nor to go hunting in a cabinet across the room, coming up with a wide-mouthed ceramic tub with a thick cork wedged into the top.
J'nor stripped down to his under trousers, and flopped heavily down on the greenrider's bed. He groaned heavily. "It feels so good to finally lay down... Please tell me that fighting in the wings is a bit less painful than Weyrling training?"
"Only because you'll be used to all the physical activity by the time you get there," the greenrider told him, climbing up onto the bed and levering the jar open. A sharp, herbal smell filled the room and O'ryn moved to straddle the bluerider's thighs before scooping out some of the thick ointment. "It does get easier, I promise. Zoranaith will gradually do more and more for himself, so all you have to worry about is his baths and oilings, and once you're in the wings, drills seem much easier than classes ever did." As he spoke, he smeared the salve on J'nor's shoulders and started working at the knotted muscles.
J'nor hissed as cool salve hit hot skin, but gradually forced himself to relax when it grew warmer. "Yeah, it's nice that Zora is getting more and more independent with each passing day, although now I think he just wants to rush to finish growing. He's already noticeably bigger than the greens."
"He'll be way bigger than Lyri. He's getting close to her size now, and he's only a little over half grown," O'ryn noted. "Since we joined the wings she's been spending more time away from me, which is nice. I love her, but it got a little overwhelming having her attention all the time."
"Not to mention not having any time to yourself within your own head," J'nor said. "I really miss the days when he was sleeping all the time. It's hard to live in constant fear that your every impure thought will be broadcast to half the Weyr."
"Impure thoughts?" O'ryn had to stop his massage for a moment while he laughed. "Been having a lot of those, hm?"
"Well, you know how it is," J'nor said. "Haven't been able to do anything in months, and then added to that I have to monitor my thoughts whenever he was awake, it all adds up to a whole lot of sexual tension. And you don't help matters at all!"
The greenrider shook his head, not that J'nor could see it. He rubbed a hand over the other rider's back, "Calm down, I didn't mean I didn't understand. Not counting the sevenday or two leading up to Lyri's flight, I was there, too, remember? I was just laughing at the way you put it. 'Impure Thoughts.' It sounds funny to me."
"Yeah, yeah I guess it does," J'nor said. "My foster mother used to say that all the time to one of my older foster sisters. She was always running around with the boys, and couldn't understand why it wasn't proper for her to sleep with them, considering the boys seemed to always talk of sleeping around."
O'ryn went back to work on J'nor's back, grabbing more of the salve as he moved lower. "Sounds like the sort of thing I'd have heard at the hold, if I hadn't left to apprentice. Certainly my father probably said it to my sister at some point, not that it worked once she got here." He poked the bluerider in the side, "She remembers you fondly, by the way." It had taken him awhile, but he'd finally got around to asking his sister about her brief tryst with J'nor before he Impressed.
"I did try to treat her right. She's a sweet girl. I didn't really understand back then why I couldn't be happy to just see one girl at a time. Now I understand a bit more why that is," J'nor said. "Shards, if you would have told me a few turns ago that when I came to the Weyr I'd end up dating a girl and her _brother_ I probably would have called you dimwitted!"
"Probably," the other young man agreed. It was still rather awkward for him, knowing that J'nor and Aarika had slept together, so he quickly changed the subject. "How's your back feel?"
"Much better," J'nor said. He rolled over quickly, grabbing O'ryn as he did so and pulling the other man beside him in the bed. He kissed him quickly on the lips. "It's so nice to actually be able to interact without having to worry about things."
O'ryn's smile edged toward a grin. "That's not the only reason I invited you up here, you know. It'll be nice just to spend time together without worrying who's watching and getting the wrong idea." Not to mention there'd been precious little privacy in the barracks, even for simple conversation.
"I just like being able to spend time with you," J'nor said. "And not to have to worry about getting back in before curfew, or class, or what have you. I like just being able to relax and enjoy myself without worry."
"Well, there's that too," O'ryn agreed. "As long as I make sure you actually get some sleep. I won't be held responsible for you crawling into class late or exhausted!" He was half-teasing and half-serious.
"True enough. I will do my best to get some sleep, so long as you promise to spend the day with me on our rest day. We can't go too far from the Weyr, but we could take a swim or something," J'nor said.
The greenrider nodded, "Sounds like fun. But that's next restday. What're we going to do now?"
"Cuddle?" J'nor suggested, but his grin was a bit more mischievous. He kissed O'ryn slowly, running his fingers through the greenrider's hair. He was amazed at how comfortable it felt to be intimate with a man. He had expected it to be awkward at first, but it felt just as natural as anything he'd ever done with a woman.
O'ryn laughed at him and shook his head, "If all you want to do after waiting three months is cuddle..." He faked a yawn and snuggled up against the taller man. "Fine."
"There's a new rule at the Weyr, dragonriders aren't allowed to cuddle with their clothes on," J'nor said with mock seriousness, removing his trousers quickly. "We wouldn't want to get in trouble for breaking the rules, now would we?"
"Oh, what a lame line to use to get in my pants, J'nor," O'ryn teased, but his blue eyes were following the bluerider's movements, his hands reaching to touch.
"Sorry, I'm a bit distracted from things like pick up lines at the moment," J'nor said, reaching up under the other man's tunic. Too many sevendays he had waited to be with him. Too many sevendays he'd been forced to keep his thoughts and desires to himself.
The greenrider sat up to tug his tunic off, leaving his pants where they were for the moment and dropped back down next to J'nor. Hooking his hand behind the bluerider's neck, he tugged him in for the kiss he'd been waiting for for months.
J'nor fell back down to the bed, pinning O'ryn with his longer body. His hands fumbled with the greenrider's trousers as he kissed O'ryn deeply. Finally untangling the ties that kept them on, he slid the trousers off quickly, tossing them carelessly aside.
O'ryn cocked an eyebrow at the other man. "Slow down," he said quietly, "I know we had to wait, but I'm not going anywhere." And the last thing he wanted was for this not to go well because they got into too much of a hurry and J'nor's inexperience caused issues.
J'nor respected O'ryn's wishes, but Shards was it hard to control himself when there was nothing stopping them from being together. He nodded, taking a moment to catch his breath. "Sorry, got caught up in the moment," he explained.
"It's alright," O'ryn murmured, pressing in close. Nudging J'nor onto his back, he shifted to straddle the bigger man and leaned in for another heated kiss while his hands explored the body he'd been dreaming about for months.
O'ryn's words said one thing, but his actions said another. J'nor knew that the greenrider was having just as hard of a time holding back as he himself was. He forced himself to think about something - anything else - while his hands played lightly across O'ryn's body to force himself not to just give in to the desires that were threatening to overwhelm him.
The greenrider didn't mean to seem contrary, but - this time, at least - it was better for him to control the pace rather than J'nor, and he didn't want to call attention to that if he didn't have to. As O'ryn shifted to run his mouth across the bluerider's jaw and down his neck, he deliberately slowed down, grinning at the groan that emerged when he nipped at the taller man's collarbone.
J'nor exhaled heavily, trying to regain control over himself. He knew that O'ryn wanted to slow down, but he was having a hard time willing his body to do so. He focused on whatever he could to distract himself - cold baths, naked old greenriders... whatever he could to calm himself down a bit.
"I know it's been ages for you... if you really can't wait, say so," O'ryn whispered against J'nor's skin.
"I... I can wait," J'nor said, although there was little conviction in his words. He sounded like a little boy saying that he could wait to go to the bathroom as a wet spot formed on his pants.
"Uh huh," the greenrider chuckled huskily as he nipped his way down the bluerider's body. "Fine then. I'll play, and you let me know when you can't wait anymore."
"You'll.... you'll play?" J'nor questioned, concern tinging his voice. **Please Faranth do not let me embarrass myself in front of this man...** he thought to himself. He just needed to hold off a little bit longer.
O'ryn really didn't like that J'nor sounded worried. Lifting his head so his darker blue eyes met J'nor's lighter ones, his confidence faltered and he cocked an eyebrow. "Is... that okay?"
"Uh, yeah, sure," J'nor said, his voice sounding high in pitch even to himself. "That's fine, feel free to play."
"That doesn't sound like you're okay." O'ryn pulled back. "I'm naked, you're naked, you're finally a senior weyrling and free to do this. What are you so worried about?"
"Umm, truthfully? That certain things might happen before I really want them to," J'nor said, his face flushing a brilliant crimson.
The greenrider grinned and shook his head. "Faranth, J'nor. You've been celibate for six months. I'd imagine that even if you do, it won't take you long to get back in the mood." He crawled back up the bluerider's body, expression sobering. "And even if you don't, you've nothing to worry about. I've waited this long, I can wait a little longer if it means I get to be with you," he said softly.
"That's good to hear," J'nor said, pulling O'ryn close to him. "It just feels so good... too good," he added with a laugh. "And I've been thinking about this for so long, and I just wanted it to be perfect, you know."
"If it's 'perfect', you aren't doing it right," the greenrider laughed. "Now. Too much talking, not enough shagging."
"That is an order I could gladly comply with," J'nor said. And he did.
