Well that did it. She would need to go see Qorri to get a new one. Her frown deepened to include her canine, Wags. "It's all your fault, you know. I just can't have anything nice! You tear it up!" she fussed at him, though it was fondness in her tone.

Lillyth picked up on the aggravation hidden beneath, though, and commented to her rider. }:I would be glad to eat him. then he would not bother you anymore. And I am a little hungry. :{ The green dragon turned whirling eyes on the barking, wagging canine, who was ecstatic that his person was speaking to him, never mind the tone.

Qorri was down in the Lower Caverns, watching them put new tablecloths on the tables. The old ones had finally gotten too worn and would be made into cleaning rags.

How was she going to explain this, Dysali thought, as she walked through the corridors, heading down to the Lower Caverns. She figured she would look there first for the Headwoman, and see if she was busy.

Back in her weyr, she left the wagging canine in the middle of her bed, where a large sagging middle showed that it was broken in the middle. Wags had been bouncing around her feet and them leaped up on her, knocking her backwards - hard - into what must have been a weak spot in the bed. The loud 'crack' after that had scared her to death, and the scolding that had followed had made even her perpetually happy canine look downcast.

Sighing, not sure what Qorri would say, Dysali approached the Headwoman slowly. "Headwoman? Might I ... ahh.. trouble you a moment?"

Straightening herself back up, Qorri looked to see who was addressing her. When she spotted the greenrider, she nodded. "What do you need, Dysali?"

She knew she wasn't one of the Headwoman's favorites, if she even had any, and she felt rather bad for bothering her. "I can always come back later if you are busy, Headwoman. I ahh... need to get some new furniture..." Her cheeks were bright red. She needed a new _bed_ but really, who broke their beds? Especially without the wild, fun story to go with it. All she had was "her canine did it".

"What sort of new furniture?" Secretly, Qorri was enjoying the awkward look on her face, but she didn't show it.

"Errmm... I need a bed." She half mumbled it so despite her blushing, burning cheeks, she said it again louder. "I need a new bed, or at least a bunch of soft blankets and I'll build myself a new place to sleep. My bed ...ahh.... broke." She hadn't had any _person_ in her bed since D'ren had left her, but Wags was a catastrophe on furniture waiting to happen, even at his only medium size. All that energy packed into him had managed to tear up her bed but good.

"Ah umm...can the old one not be repaired?" It wasn't hard to send one of her carpenters to just throw it back together if that was the case. Qorri had plenty of lumber for things like that.

The young greenrider blushed even more and finally nodded, her voice stuttering a bit. "Maybe? I ..I ...don't know much about fixing things except straps. Whatever you think, Headwoman. Maybe they can come look and see if it can be fixed?" She should have thought of that herself!

"When would be a good time?" If there was a canine involved, she didn't want her guys to walk into something like that where they could get bit.

"Perhaps this restday. I'll take Wags and Lillyth and go away for the day? Would that work?" She was still blushing fiercely for even having to ask...and what would the workers think when they saw a broken bed?

"Sure, that would be fine. I'll set a work order." Qorri made a note on the pad she kept on her belt for things like that.

"Thank you Headwoman." She said quietly, still blushing. "I appreciate it." And she turned, intending to retreat as fast as possible from the sight of Qorri, hoping she didn't annoy her too much.
