Description: Cosani and E'ron make plans for rest day.
Location: Dolphin Cove Weyr
Date: month 6, day 14 of Turn 6
Cosani set her tray down and sat across from the bluerider. "Hey."
Drills were over and she was starving.
E'ron glanced up from his meal. "Mmmm," his mouth was full of food but
at least he ackowldged her presence.
She shoveled down a few bites before looking up at him again. "You
doing anything this restday?"
He swallowed. "I dunno, why?" he asked, before forking a chunk of
tuber into his mouth. The food was so good and he was so hungry he
barely stop eating to chat, but he was starting to get full.
She shrugged. "Just wondering." Cosani went back to eating.
Ok, so now he had to ask "What are you doing!"
"Nothing. That's why I asked." She said between mouthfuls.
Something about the silliness of the whole conversation amused E'ron
and he started to laugh. It began as a light chuckle.
She tried to be annoyed but a little smile twitched at her mouth
instead. "What?"
"I dunno, it's just silly to be talking about pretty much nothing.
Maybe we should talk about something instead?"
"I _was_ talking about something. I was talking about what you were
doing this restday, because I'm not doing anything and I thought maybe
we could do something together," she said.
Suitably chastised, E'ron's face turned serious, then surprised.
"Together? As in you and me?" What else would together mean? "I
mean... Like what?" He was curious and slightly confused. No one had
sought him out to do anything with since...ages.
"We could go exploring. I do that sometimes and it might be fun to
have someone else along." She was generally happy spending time alone
with Shalith, but once in a while she wanted company.
Now that sounded like fun! "Whatcha wanna explore?" he took a bite of
a nice fresh roll and chewed slowly, enjoying the texture and taste.
"Somewhere farther south. I've seen plenty of beaches."
"We might find some caves!" Even living in caves didn't diminish the
fascination with them, especially dark, dank, empty ones!
She smiled at his excitement. "That could be interesting."
"it could", he agreed.
"So let's do it." Cosani smiled. "I'll meet you in the bowl on restday
and we'll go on an adventure."
