Shalith was very pleased with her choice, radiating satisfaction even
in her sleep. Cosani shifted a little, not fully awake, enjoying the
afterglow.
Mnoranth was equally smug and still entwined with the lovely green.
R'enh came slowly awake to the knowledge of a successful flight. He
felt his prize shift slightly and lazily caressed her thigh where she
lay spooned against him. Then he kissed her neck.
Who had she ended up with? She remembered Shalith choosing Mnoranth,
so that meant ... R'enh. Cosani wrinkled her nose. Her father's
Wingsecond, how awkward. But on the other hand, he _was_ handsome.
"Shalith is very happy," she murmured.
"Mmmm," he said. "So is Mnoranth, it was a good flight." He
particularly enjoyed winning the flight of such a lovely rider. "And
you? How are you feeling," he asked while his hands still roamed
lightly over her soft skin.
Leftover dragonlust coiled low in her belly. "Good." She rolled over
to face him. "So it doesn't bother you, who my father is?" None of her
flight partners had cared, but they weren't N'vanik's Wingsecond.
"Should it," R'enh asked with a twist of a smile. He hadn't heard any
rumors of the Weyrleader attacking riders who won his daughter's
flights. "Does it bother you that I'm his 'second?"
Cosani shrugged. "It's a little weird, but I'll get over it." She
trailed a finger down his chest. "I wouldn't want to waste a good
opportunity."
R'enh's eyes twinkled "Me either," he said and captured her lips with
a warm kiss. She seemed to be in the mood for another go which wasn't
always the case. There _were_ times when you woke with someone from a
flight and either you or they preferred to be elsewhere. When that
happened good manners meant you accepted their preference with good
grace and moved on.
In this case he considered himself a lucky man. Cosani was a lovely
young woman with a fetching smile and flashing eyes that were so light
blue they almost looked silver. He pulled her closer.
She deepened the kiss, tongue exploring his mouth. The leftover
dragonlust rose to full force, a feeling she'd quickly learned to
love, especially with a partner as handsome as R'enh. Cosani hooked a
leg over his hip.
R'enh rolled over on top of her and supported himself on his elbows
savored her response and met it with his own. Breathing grew more
intense as his strength returned and his body began to respond to her.
"More." Patience had never been her strong point and she urged him on
by wrapping her legs around his waist.
He growled and devoured her. "Like this," he asked as he rode the
mounting waves of her response and began to drive her higher and
higher.

Cosani was sore in the best way. She knew she should leave soon, but
she would really rather take a nap curled up next to R'enh. She envied
Shalith for getting to do just that. The green was still sleeping with
her handsome bronze mate.
R'enh rolled on his back with Cosani's head on his shoulder. "This was
a great flight," he murmured and kissed the top of her head. No one
was going to kick them out and if they were lucky a drudge would come
soon with a pitcher of something cold and a snack. He hugged her
against him since she didn't seem to want to move. "You ok?"
"I'm fine." She shifted a little to get comfortable. "I feel really
good." Deciding that if anyone wanted her to leave, they'd have to
make her, Cosani closed her eyes. Flights were always intense, but
this was the best she'd felt afterwards and that had everything to do
with who she'd ended up with. She lifted her head a little. "Could we
do this again sometime?"
He felt great too as she relaxed against him. "I'd like that," he
smiled into her eyes.
