Tavia

Their dinner had be great but just slightly rushed. To say that they
had other things are their minds would be putting it mildly. Of course
he'd plied her with wine but she'd just laughed and accepted each
glass. Now she was pleasantly tipsy and as eager for him as he
appeared to be for her. In fact as they finally reached her door she
let her hand stray provocatively as she had in the first heady days of
their liaison. Back then it had been rough and tumble play and
flirting. She giggled and darted out of his reach through the door.

U'kaiah made a half hearted attempt at trying to catch her. He, too,
was thinking about the first few fun flings. Things had turned serious
fast once she had fallen pregnant. As she moved away from him, an old
familiar cocky bronzerider grin spread across his lips. "Where do you
think you're going, greenrider? There's only so many places you can
hide, you know."

A giggle gave her away and she darted through the curtains into her
darkened bed alcove. "We greens are faster than you sloooooow bronze
boys," she teased.

"I may be slow," he said, his eyes burning as they raked up and down her
body, "but I have plenty of stamina." U'kaiah took a step closer, just
daring her to try to run.

"Yeah," she playfully derided. "Thats' what you say _now_." She danced
back and forth just out of his reach.

"Choose me, little green," he said in a tone that Kalamath had used many
a time to coax a mate into is grasp. U'kaiah took another step towards
her. "I swear, I'll fly you well."

Tavia laughed and jumped on the bed arms wide. "I choose you," she said.

"Very wise choice." U'kaiah wrapped his long arms around her, turning
to flop back on the mattress and pulling her down on top of him. One
hand slipped up the back of her tunic as the other buried itself in her
hair, pulling her down for a deep and thorough kiss.

Her long hair spilled around them as she did her best to wiggle in
just the right place. Her breathing sighed in response to the kiss.
Their clothing was fast becoming a hindrance. She sat back upright
astride his hip and crossed her arms to lift her tunic off in one
swift motion and fling it on the floor.

Curling his strong arms around her, he leaned her back enough to expose
a breast to his tongue. He had learned over the last Turn how to touch
her in a way that was sure to get a response. U'kaiah knew what she
liked, and aimed to please. Making his way back up to collar bones, he
caught the sensitive flesh on her neck between his teeth lightly, but
suddenly stopped, leaning back and looking around the room warily.
"Wait a minute. Where's Glory?" His eye caught hers, flashing with a
spark of humor.

Her eyes glazed over as she surrendered to his touch but his question
brought her back. "Um.. she's, she's fishing I think," she said. "But
she's had her own first flight now... she understands." A smiled
curved her lips. "She was just a baby then."

U'kaiah leaned his head against her shoulder and chuckled softly.
Perhaps he was a little _too_ good if she was already so far into it she
could not catch his gentle tease. "Good," he said leaning back and
gently turning to lay her down onto the bed once more. "Then I'll know
who to blame if I wake up with pieces of my flesh missing."

"Very funny," she snorted with a mock slap at his shoulder. That whole
incident still made her feel a little guilty.

His fingers began working on her belt buckle. "No, funny was when you
came to surprise me by stripping off your clothes and laying in wait for
me, only to have Kaiafel come in instead!"

She laughed and covered her eyes. "I was so embarrassed and had no
idea what to say to him. He's so precocious."

"Well, he is my son," he said with a proud grin. "I think we handled it
well." The look in his eye grew softer as he pulled the leather belt
out of it's buckle, and began unfastening her pants. "That was the
night, wasn't it. When we made Kaiavin."

"Yes it was," she smiled down into his eyes. "It was a very good night."

"The very best," he agreed, slidding back off the bed. Standing to his
full height, he pulled his own tunic off over his head and dropped it
onto the floor next to hers. U'kaiah lifted her leg to brace her foot
against his chest so he could slide the pant leg up. He gently slid her
foot out of it's boot. "I sometimes wonder what would have happened
between us if he hadn't surprised us."

"It would have been different," she said as she pulled her foot back
and gave him the other one. "I didn't think I'd ever let anyone close
again." She shook her head in memory.

"Yes, well, you know, I'm not just _anyone_," he said with his best
arrogant bronzerider tone. His eyes softened as he pulled her other
boot off, pausing to run the arch and ball of her foot with his strong
thumbs. "And you're not either. It just took me a knock over the head
to realize it."

She smiled down into his eyes savoring the foot rub. There was so very
much of the arrogant bronze Wingleader abut U'kaiah. But she'd been
allowed by circumstances or luck to peel back some of those layers and
get to know the man inside. That was a rare gift and the majority of
the reason she'd decided to go along with his plan. Kaiavin had a very
complex man as his father. On top of that he _wanted_ both of them at
his side.

"Come here," she said and opened her arms.
