What Are You Up To?

Description: Meledei catches up with her friend and asks her to a Gather
Location: Dolphin Cove Weyr
Date: month 1, day 21 of Turn 7

Cosani

"And what are you up to, greenrider?" Meledei came up from behind her
friend and tapped her on the arm. "Up to some mischief?"

"Not at the moment," Cosani said with a little smile.

"Oh, but does that mean you have something in mind for later?"
Meledei fell into step beside the greenrider and eyed her. "What are
you_going_ to be up to, I dare ask?"

"A little fun with someone handsome and skilled."

"Is that so?" Meledei's smile turned into a grin. "Mind if I ask_who_?"

"I haven't decided yet. Maybe R'enh, if he's around." Last time had
been_very_ enjoyable.

"Really?" Meledei hadn't expected_that_ name to crop up. "I bet you
have a bunch of guys going after you too. How many do you have lined
up?" She laughed and playfully elbowed her friend.

"Only the ones that can keep up with me." She grinned. Meledei was one
of the few people she let her guard down with.

"In other words, not many because most don't make the cut?" Meledei
teased. She wasn't the sort to go through guys like that, but to each
his or her own. "No one particularly special though?"

A tingly warmth filled her belly as she pictured R'enh's face. "No. I
don't want anyone "special". Sex is just for fun. No one is going to
tie_me_ down."

That was how most people in the Weyr viewed it - but not Meledei.
Still, she wasn't the sort to press that vision on others. "I'm sure
you give your fellows a good time." She stated with a soft chuckle.
"Hey, you want to go somewhere next rest day? I was thinking of going
up North with T'nom. There's supposed to be a Gather."

Cosani wrinkled her nose. "And watch you be cute all day? No thanks."

"Come on, you can bring one of your boy toys." Meledei changed her
pitch into an exaggerated whine. "Pleeeeease? We haven't gone
anywhere together in a long time!"

The greenrider made another face. "I'll think about it." She'd like to
ask R'enh, but that was sure to cause problems since he and Meledei
weren't getting along. "If I can find the right man." Someone fun
enough to keep her entertained while Meledei and T'nom made kissy
face. And someone who wouldn't misunderstand things.

"Good, so we'll leave around eight." Meledei's face lit up in another
grin. "Dress in green. I think that colour looks really good on
you."

Almost unconsciously, Cosani made a note to wear green the next time
she saw R'enh. "I'll dress in something _comfortable_. And that's _if_
I come."

Meledei grinned. "I'd better run and get back to those records before
the stack grows bigger."

"Ok."
