Description: Back to her old tricks again.
Location: Dolphin Cove Weyr
Date: month 4, day 11 of Turn 7
She recalled a certain bronzerider that she hadn't become familiar with and Qorri wondered about it. Of course not all the young boys thought she was attractive, that was a given. Still, it puzzled her that N'mor would say no when she didn't hear of him seeing any other girls particularly. So why not? As
time passed, she found herself sending some cookies with a note to his weyr. The invitation was obvious.
N'mor munched a cookie when he read the note. He smiled. He had heard enough stories about Qorri...so her attention was now directed to him. N'mor didn't mind that at all. Picking a bottle of wine from his
personal storage he headed for the headwoman's quarters.
At that moment, she was actually quietly repairing some of her own clothing. Qorri had been putting off
the chore and it was time to get her seams sewn back up. With all the work she did, there was wear and
tear to deal with. Her head came up when she heard footfalls approaching her little cave in the Lower
Caverns.
"Ma'am? I got your message," N'mor said from the door. He was feeling suddenly nervous. Despite
his three Turns as bronzerider, he was still young and still had some of his hold-boy innocence left.
"Come in and have a seat, N'mor. Close the flap behind you please." The heavy cured hide was quite stiff
and served enough for a door. Qorri wasn't particular and the hole cut into the stone wasn't perfect for a door
anyway. "So tell me, how is life as a wingrider?" She hadn't raised this one, not really, so there wasn't as
much familiarity there.
"Pretty good. Ked and I have settled into a comfortable routine. There's not much going on in our lives," N'mor
replied. "I brought you this," he gave the wine bottle.
She took it and glanced at the color and the label. "Very nice." Getting up, she disappeared for a moment
before returning with two glasses with wine in them. She gestured for him to sit as she handed him one of the glasses and took the other, sipping. "So you haven't found a nice little greenrider then? Shame."
"No. I've had some short flings and Ked's chasing his part of the Flights, but no, nothing permanent."
"Ah so you like flings then? Nothing to worry about and you can just move on." This was getting hopeful.
Qorri took another drink, picking up on N'mor's mannerisms and the way he moved. Riders always moved
a certain way. You could spot them out of a crowd.
"Nothing wrong with that," N'mor said casually. Although settling down with one, nice girl did has
appeal too. But N'mor was only seventeen and led by his hormones.
"How's a fling with me then?" She was nothing if not direct at times and Qorri didn't like to beat around the
bush when it came to young riders, especially ones she hadn't spent time with. And it had been too long
indeed.
"Nothing wrong with that either," N'mor replied. His heart was
bounding inside his chest so hard he was sure she could hear
it.
**Go slow with this one. Young, very** Qorri smiled and
signalled for him to come closer. She put the wine down.
N'mor obeyed like a good boy he was.
