Description: Cayleryth rises for the first time
Location: Dolphin Cove Weyr
Date: month 5, day 18 of Turn 7
It wasn't that she was inexperienced, but she knew this time things
would be different. Cayleryth had been edgy for days, and with all her
training Malyna knew the day would come for her green's first rise.
After being rather grumpy herself for days, she was actually eager for
Cayleryth's first rise. She wanted to feel like herself again.
She had just been finishing up one of her tasks for the afternoon,
when she felt Cayleryth stir from her sleep. The green's thoughts were
foggy, different than they normally where. Malyna had a puzzled look
on her face before she felt the intensity of Cayleryth's passion
overwhelm her. Malyna actually stumbled backward a step into another
of the weyrlings.
"Sorry," she mumbled, her own thoughts feeling confused and befuddled.
One of the other girls stepped up to her. "It's time right?" Her own
green had just risen not be a sevenday ago. Cayleryth was one of the
last of the greens to rise from her clutch.
Malyna simply nodded. The other weyrling gave her a push. "Then go,
take care of it. Hurry." Malyna didn't wait. She knew what to do and
she took off.
Cayleryth meanwhile had darted from her resting place. Her dark scales
seemed to glow an even darker, brighter shade of green than normal.
Though small for a green, she was fast and light both in the air and
on the ground. In a matter of seconds he was airborne.

}: But I want to chase her :{ Rahmuth whined, his eye facets swirling
with lust, neck craned towards the feeding pens.
**No, not this one,** Sh'lua said firmly and vaulted to his dragons
back. **We are going...Amber Hills.** He might as well visit his
sister and his son she fostered there while he had to get away from
the Weyr. It was getting awfully close...he could feel the lust
building in Rahmuth. Few more minutes and the brown would be beyond
reason. Pushing all his will on his life mate, Sh'dori got Rahmuth on
the air and go /between/ to Amber Hills.

}:Come chase me. I fly fast and eager this day! I want to feel the air
of many wings chase me!:{ She called out as she began to twirl in the
air in a rather teasing dance to arouse the male dragons around her.
She felt free and uninhibited by any thoughts other than one. To fly
and to fulfill the need she felt deep within herself.
}:Who will chase?:{ She called and began her flight away from the Weyrbowl.
Mayfeth was there in a flash, much to S'avn's surprise. It would be
the blue's first time chasing and he hadn't even given any hints that
he had been watching Cayleryth. Although S'avn had never been in a
flight his training told him to go to the flight weyrs and so he did.
He spotted Malyna ahead of him and followed her.
}:Oh lovely Cayleryth, I shall chase!:{ Mayfeth answered back boldly,
the blue having no problem with confidence as he sprang into the air,
quick to follow after the green.
L'cor had been carrying bags of stone and staggered when the bolt of
Tonuth's lust hit him. "Whoa," he said and dropped the bags. Then
without another look he took off toward his lifemate.
}:I will chase,:{ declared the young bronze trying to puff up as large
and impressive as his sire.
K'dall and Tallandrath were near the feeding pens already, with
Trapper sitting alertly at the young brownrider's feet while Tall
hunted.
Whether it was a combination of his hunting lust and the mating lust
at once, or just that Tall was fully mature now, the young brown
focused on Cayleryth when she declared her challenge. Tall tossed
aside the buck he'd just killed and leaped into the air after the
beautiful green. Tallandrath had always been more outgoing than his
rider, but this was the first time he'd rose after a green.
Despite knowing it would happen, K'dall was unprepared for the wave of
desire that rolled over him. His bond with Tall was so tight, much
more than most riders, and he was shocked by the depth of raw need
circulating through his own body. His dragon-hide covered body. When
Trapper realized something was wrong, the canine whined and tried to
get K'dall's attention, but the young man had only one thing on his
mind. Trapper snorted in annoyance and decided to lay down in a warm
spot and wait for his person to come back .. from wherever he was.
Tall crooned to Cayleryth as he flew after her, **I will fly you long
and well. I am strong and will make you mine!**
Without even knowing where he was, K'dall stumbled to Malyna though
he saw only green hide, not the human rider. And he _wanted_.
}:I will chase!:{ Xemroth called, jumping from the heights to follow
after the green.
Z'ku took a few deep breaths to focus through the dragonlust. Watching
his dragon streak through the sky, he frowned in annoyance. The bronze
hadn't waited to give him a ride, so now Z'ku had to race down all
those stairs to get to the Bowl.
Kedvencth trumpeted his intetions loudly, leaving his rider to stumble
after him any way he could. N'mor had to run to reach the feeding pens
from the dining cavern, arriving just to see his bronze take the air
among other males.
Camyth's brilliant blue hide flashed in the sun when the young blue
joined the chasers. He had caught a green before and was full of
confidence. He was fast and agile, he could easily follow her every
twist and turn.
X'ian was bit worried, he had a weyrmate waiting for him...but dragon
lust soon drowned all worries when he became one with his dragon.
The green was eager to fly, to be free for the first time. Her little
body flew threw the air with speed and joy. };I want to fly free like
this all the time!:{ She called out with glee, feeling the pressing
beats of the other dragon wing's approaching. She turned and flew
higher, then darted down lower. She was enjoying this little game she
was playing with the eager males chasing after her tail. She bugled
her delight at being the center of so much attention.
On the ground Malyna was caught up in the emotions of Cayleryth. She
felt her arms as though they were the wings beating against the air.
She felt the wind rushing past her. Heard the sounds of the dragons as
they approached. She and Cayleryth had shared much, but this, this was
far different than anything else they had experienced. Malyna was just
as eager as Cayleryth to continue to race, but she felt as though her
young dragon wings were already growing tired. It wouldn't be long
now.
Mayfeth crowed eagerly launching his midnight blue body into the air
after the green. The sudden rush from his dragon sent S'avn reeling on
the ground and he swayed for a moment before bracing himself against
the wall of the weyr.
Ked lavished her with his attention. Lovely, young green...the bronze
wanted to catch her very much.
Camyth spiralled thru the air after her. }: I can fly as well as you
do!:{ he boasted. Indeed, he was one of fastest blues.
Tallandrath was new to chasing greens but he could see where she might
fall if she tired. He soared in that direction and crooned at her.
**Choose me lovely! Choose me!**
Climbing higher, Xemroth pushed himself to go faster. He couldn't
outpace the blues, but he could outsmart them, or convince Cayleryth
to choose him. }:I am young and strong and _bronze_. There is no one
better. Choose me!:{
Tonuth tried his very best to catch the fleet green and one twist the
wrong way and he'd have her.
She was enjoying the play among them all. Cayleryth tried to shift her
position in the sky and ended up smacking almost directly into a blue
dragon. There was no escaping now. The chase was over. She had been
caught.
Mayfeth crowed his delight at having caught the green, his midnight
blue wings catching the sky as he locked his talons with hers and
twined their necks. He might not have been the most experienced, but
he had been in the right place at the right time, and in Mayfeth's
book, a win was a win. S'avn, over taken with the new feelings of
winning a flight, eagerly took Malyna into his arms.
