When Milga reached the dolphin hall's dock, there were lot of people
there already. Hands reached to help her up and lot of voices asking
questions, what happened, why was she at the water? She found herself
flinching anytime a man touched her or got too closed. She couldn't
answer them, just sob uncontrollably. There was blood stains on her
panties so everyone presumed the worst. She was taken to infirmary.

Journeywoman Olwinna had been asked to examine the apprentice, since
she didn't allow male healer to touch her.
She walked out of the infirmary, to find the Hallmaster pacing the
hallway outside. She had chased all extra people out.
"You can talk with Milga now. I've given her a mild sedative. She's
told me what happened... someone tried to rape her," Olwinna's voice
was serious. "Physically, she fine. I found some light bruising from
her upper body. Mentally, she's in shock. Her maiden head is still
intact."
Famell was fuming inside as he waited. Something had happened to dear
Milga, one of his _own_, and he felt helpless as he waited. When
Olwinna came forth and told him the news he felt the anger inside him
rage like an inferno. He took a few moments to collect himself, for it
wasn't Milga he was angry with, but whomever had dared to touch her,
dared to ruin the safety of their Hall. He _would_ get to the bottom
of this.
Entering the room, he looked at the young dolphineer. "Milga, do you
mind if I come sit with you for a bit?" He asked her gently. She had
refused to be near any man since they'd found her, and Famell wanted
to make sure she was ready for him to approach.
Milga nodded, feeling and looking miserable. She was wearing infarmy
robe and wrapped in a blanket.
"I can stay or wait outside, whatever you prefer," the journeywoman said.
"You can stay," Milga replied. She had been kind, even when the exam
had been uncomfortable and far too intimate to her liking.
Famell walked up to Milga. "Dear Milga, please tell me what happened
so I can see this matter though."
"I couldn't sleep, so I sneaked outside, taking a walk on the beach. I
was grapped behind and pulled to the ground. There was a
man...he..he," she had trouble get the words out of her mouth. "Tried
to rape me," she whispered. "His hands were all over me and he said
horrible things," she shivered and Olwinna wrapped a comforting arm
around her shoulders. "I kicked him as hard I can and got away. I ran
to the sea." she finished her story with a soft sob.
Famell's jaw was set. He didn't want to upset Milga further, but at
her words and seeing her frightened expression his eyes burned with a
fire of anger towards the man.
"You are safe now Milga." He reached out to pat her shoulder. "Now,
however, I'm going to have to ask you to relive some of those terrible
moments. I need you to tell me what you saw of the man who did this to
you."
Milga gave as good description as she could under circumstances. It
was odd what things had imprinted to her memory. His smell, rancid
with alcohol and tar...he had some sort of beard. And knife, she was
sure he had knife in his belt. She had no idea what colour his eyes
were but hair was dark. His hands been calloused, like one who worked
with them.
Famell listened intently to her description. It didn't remind him of
anyone who actually lived in the Dolphin Hall, but that didn't mean
much. They saw so many visitors through the area.
"Thank you Milga. If you don't mind I'm going to have a Harper come in
shortly for you to describe what you remember as well so they can draw
a more detailed picture. In the meantime, I'm going to put a stop to
any ship leaving port here until I can examine each crewmemember
personally. Is there anything else you can share that might help me
track down the culprit?"
"I can't think of anything else," Milga said, huddling under her blanket.
"You're being very brave," Olwinna encourged her gently.
"You might want to check infirmaries and ship healers, has anybody
came in tonight with injuries. A kick in a right place can cause
internal damage, even if the one kicking is a teenager girl," she
suggested to Famell.
"Thank you Olwinna," Famell responded. "I will do that straightaway.
That might lead us to our culprit much sooner." Then turning back to
Milga he patted her hand one final time.
"I'll leave you to get some rest now Milga, but if you need anything,
_anything_ at all, you have them call for me. I'll be here to help and
protect you no matter what." He felt much like a father would to his
young apprentices. He was seething inside that someone had tried to
harm one of them this night. Famell vowed to get to the bottom of this
and see justice done.
