Reports for Vintner Hall

May 3rd 2009

The Vintner Hall has been busy this month! We are all happy to see the Hallmaster is feeling better, though he is taking things slowly, as well he should!

Teene dropped by the Hallmaster's office to remind him that he was supposed to not work so hard after his illness. His wife had her hands quite full taking care of him while he was sick. Perhaps he will have to do something special for her to thank her for all her kind attention.

Speaking of kind attention, Causton also had a very nice breakfast with Journeywoman Rikka, who has moved from the Hold to the Hall! Though she is still somewhat of an oddity being a female crafter, it seems people have been treating her kindly, which pleases Master Causton, espcially since so many women in his family have been crafters!

Rikka also received a warm welcome from the Tavern Master, Zandreu. She helped check on his refridgeration unit. It seems he remembers a time when female crafters were common place. He tells Rikka to inform him any time should one of his staff mistreat her, though he knows she will have to fight her own battles for acceptance.

Another Hall resident struggling with acceptence is Key. He has a chat with Master Daigoro, who believes the young man should think about settling down and getting married if he so choses. Key wants to, but feels no woman would want him because of his deformity. The Hallsecond suggests Key look in the outlying areas for a bride and has offered to do a little searching for him, though Key doesn't expect it will come to much.

The Hallseconds own marriage seems to still have it's troubles. Cinale is still struggling to overcome her miscarriage. When Daigoro's good friend brings his wife and young baby over to their cot, she feels jealous and mourns the loss of her own child all over again. That night she is confused by her husband's advances. She is not ready, but believes a good wife should not say no. In the end she does push him away, angry that he couldn't understand her feelings. She quickly regrets her anger, believing everything that happened was her fault. Can she find a way to move past this?

Why don't you come and join the Vintner Hall and get in on all the action!
