Mid m10 and we have a glimpse of the Hallmaster-elect in her native setting, a Southern Dolphin Hall, telling her long-time friend (and a former journeywoman dolphineer) about her new appointment.

Later that month the Harper Hall Hallsecond visits the Dolphin Hall and her friend (and retiring Hallmaster) Mosler only to find he's grumbling about the restrictions the healers are placing on him, even if they are for his own good.

In the final days of m10 one of the Hall crafters, journeyman smith Mordin, takes the time to speak to apprentice dolphineer Alydelle who is flustered and flattered by his attention.

In the first sevenday of m11 Alydelle is hurrying out to meet Mordin. Is this a wise relationship between the lonely apprentice and the manipulative journeyman?

Early in m11 the new Hallmaster is travelling toward the Hall, and is rather surprised about the ignorance she finds about dolphins, even among men who spend their lives at sea. She does what little she can to correct a few misconceptions.

Toward the middle of the month Masters Tarehg and Mahantan exchange views on what the new Hallmaster will mean for the Hall. As ever they completely fail to agree on anything, so something things will not be changing!

The middle of m11 reveals journeywoman dolphineer Trellyn doing more than just seeing to the welfare of apprentice dolphineer Ednan. Although she has decided to quit fighting the attraction they feel, the pair are aware that their careers in the craft could be jeopardised by their liaison. While they're otherwise occupied, Trellyn's gold firelizard, Carry, clutches her eggs.

Ednan's life continues to attract complications when he unexpectedly meets up with an old friend from his Harper Hall days - over six Turns ago. Greenrider Aileyan makes the most of the chance encounter and seduces the dolphineer apprentice but Ednan almost immediately has regrets. Although they squabble, their parting contains an agreement that they want to see each other again.

During August and September 08 the Dolphin Hall is the bonus location for posting - all posts set at the Hall will attract 3 bonus marks for each writer. I hope this will encourage the Dolphin Hall's writers to continue with their wonderful plotting and posting.
