Physical Description of Persona:
A square jawline, straight nose, and strong cheekbones make up the overall architecture of X'eri's face. He has relatively thin lips, but a great smile that reaches even into his dark, bluish-green eyes. His hair is a dark blonde, nearly brown, that he keeps short enough to comb back, or leave hanging in his eyes. He is barely 6'0", but his great posture makes him feel tall even amongst those who tower over him.

Emotional Description of Persona:
X'eri has a great sense of humor hidden behind a stoic face. Yes, his smile is great, but only once you've broken through his walls. Before the illness that left him deaf, X'eri was naturally outgoing and gregarious, but now the bronzerider is more reserved, often keeping to himself on purpose. The few acquaintances he keeps now are mostly healers, since some of them know sign language.

History of Persona:
X'eri, short for Xerias, was born and raised at Dragonsfall Weyr. His mother works as one of the Headwoman's assistants, and his father is a seasoned brownrider. Between his parents, X'eri has several full and half siblings scattered around Dragonsfall and even across the continent, at this point.

As a child, X'eri's one wish was to be a dragonrider like his father, which E'xaver was more than thrilled with, but it was his mother, Xamalla, who was more practical and felt that X'eri should at least adopt a craft until Impression. X'eri bounced around through a few different beginner courses until he finally decided to commit to being a Harper. While he enjoyed the general courses, as soon as he made journeyman at eighteen, X'eri began to focus on a path in the Artist specialty. X'eri's particular forte is sketching and painting.

At twenty-one, just when X'eri's hopes of Impression had nearly slipped away, he Impressed to the last dragonet on the Sands, a bronze named Kohath. Weyrlinghood was full of trouble and pranks, and X'eri garnered so much experience cleaning the latrines that he earned the nickname Master of the Latrines. It's a rank he held with much pride during his youth.

Lovers came and went during the Turns that followed Weyrlinghood, but none stuck around for long, and X'eri didn't really mind. He enjoyed the thrill of someone new.

When X'eri was thirty, he became ill with firehead and lay feverish for days before it finally broke. Kohath, who had been watched day and night by the Weyr's golds, was beyond relieved when X'eri finally regained consciousness. Although he recovered as well as could be hoped, X'eri never fully recovered his hearing. The words "almost totally deaf" were written to him on a piece of paper by the healer who gave him his hearing test. Extremely loud bursts of sound, such as a dragon roar at close range, sound faint and distant, as if he's hearing the sound from underwater. Regular human conversation or music doesn't penetrate his hearing at all.

For the last two Turns X'eri has spent his time, painstakingly, learning to communicate with his hands. Fortunately, he has Kohath when it comes to dragonrider-to-dragonrider communication, but the healers have pressed him not to rely solely on his lifemate to communicate.

Since he is otherwise healthy, X'eri flies Thread in the Queen's Wing, communicating with his wingmates via the normal flight hand-signals and through Kohath.

Description of Dragon:
Kohath is in the middle of the wingspan charts for bronze dragons. His body is lean and muscular, his snout more rounded than pointy. In hue, the bronze has dark, coppery tones beneath his wingsails and belly, while he gradually fates to a lighter burnt-honey shade on his back, tail, and headknob.

When they first impressed, Kohath and X'eri were complete opposites. X'eri was outgoing and gregarious, while Kohath is dry and serious. Talking to a human besides X'eri only happens when his rider absolutely needs him to do so.
