Physical Description of Persona:
In normal circumstances, it’d be viewed as a stroke of luck that Tomendre took after his mother. Alenendre was a noted beauty, after all. But thanks to her infidelity, it just adds more fuel to the debate about Tomen’s paternity and makes the man himself a haunting reminder of the woman and the betrayal.

Tomendre has his mother’s hazel eyes and chestnut curls. Even his laugh, a rare thing, has her musical cadence. It doesn’t help that he’s not as tall as his supposed father, nor as broad. In fact he looks more like a romantic harper poet than a sailor or diver, which makes him stand out all the more on the islands and in his family.

Emotional Description of Persona:
Tomendre wants very much to do things Right. To be Proper and Honorable and everything he’s learned his mother wasn’t. The truth of his parentage will always be a mystery to him and he’s since come to terms with the fact he’s powerless on that front. He can’t change the past or his mother’s choices, but he _can_ strive to be the best son and heir anyone could hope for.

So Tomen is diligent and serious. He doesn’t have a stomach for the sea, but he’s taken well to hold management and tackles his assignments with a zeal to prove himself.

History of Persona:
Tomendre is the eldest son of Holder Toman, supposedly. Toman was desperately in love with his first wife, Alenedre, but she only married him for his rank and was soon caught in an affair with another man. She was cast aside, but Tomendre remained at the hold and was raised as Toman’s trueborn son. The early loss of his mother and the constant onslaught of gossip have taken a toll on Tomendre, but he carries on.

He’s long since given up on having a relationship with his father’s second wife. After few clumsy overtures when he was a lad of ten, they’ve settled into a cool holding pattern.
