Physical Description of Persona:
Broad-shouldered and tanned, Br’elt stands at about 5’10 with a thick crop of dark brownish-black hair and matching brown eyes. When he doesn’t shave, he looks baby-faced, so he tends to keep a bit of facial hair nowadays to look older. His right forearm also bears a long ago healed scar from breaking his arm as a child, but it's mostly covered by half a dozen leather bracelets with various studdings, charms or etchings. Br'elt's voice is a bright tenor. When he smiles, dimples appear in both cheeks.

Emotional Description of Persona:
Laid back and open-minded describe Br’elt, who came from Holder stock and adjusted to Weyrlife pretty quickly. His easy-going manner gives him a wide-reaching social network of acquaintances with a core group of close friends. Br'elt isn't scared to voice his opinion or speak about himself, but he always aims to be humble and respectful. The only thing Br’elt really can’t stand are bullies and harassment, especially of his more soft-spoken friends. That’s about the only time Br’elt will get loud and aggressive, because he didn’t speak up for a bullied friend he cared for a long while ago and it cost him.

He struggles with knowing when to stop making excuses for something because Br'elt sees the good in people and refuses to believe that someone could be less than that. This can cause him to stay in a romantic relationship longer than healthy because he sees potential, not reality. He might not be the smartest man in the Weyr but Br'elt wants to learn, even if it takes him a little longer. He loves being outdoors and with people, and gets a little stir crazy if kept inside too long. He’s often found doing a morning jog right at sunrise because he finds it helps him organize the day mentally.

History of Persona:
Br'elt is the second oldest child of his family of mostly boys. He spent most of his childhood getting into trouble, generally in the form of tumbling from trees, stealing sweets from the kitchen and getting his best Gather clothes dirty. Cooks and stablehands remember him as a bright-eyed troublemaker that they never could stay angry at, usually because young Bricelt and his brothers never caused any real trouble.

Early on, Bricelt thought he would train in beasthealing, since he liked working with animals but he found the studying too boring and switched to a more hands on craft, apprenticing into tannercraft at fourteen. Bricelt's parents stressed focusing on career and studies first, with playtime and romance later. Growing up in a craftbred household in a Hold gave Bricelt a slightly different outlook on people and he learned acceptance and teamwork over ignorance and pride. When the Searchriders came to his Hold, a seventeen-Turn old Bricelt eagerly accepted the offer to Stand as a Candidate, seeing it as an opportunity to broaden his horizons, even if he didn't Impress.

Coming to the Weyr proved to be the experience of a lifetime. He found his lifemate in brown Werreth on that first Hatching, as well as his best friend in a shy greenrider named C'lest. Together, they became a common sight, and if anyone ever thought to insult C'lest, they quickly learned the protective side of Br'elt. The return of Thread, even though expected, also marked the beginning of a rocky decade for Br’elt, as he learned to overcome his fears while finding his footing as a dragonrider. He had a tumultuous relationship with a goldrider for a few Turns in his early twenties and it wasn’t until after it ended that Br’elt began realizing that he might be bisexual.

Br’elt made the decision to transfer to Barrier Lake at the age of thirty, mostly because C’lest wanted to, but also because he looked forward to being a part of a newer place and leaving behind some old memories that he wanted to heal from.

Description of Dragon:
A milk klah brown all over, Werreth sports caramel and cream-colored wingsails, with caramel highlights on his ridges. He edges towards the bulkier side of muscle tone, burly in the shoulders like his rider, and is one of the largest browns in the Weyr.

Much like his rider, Werreth sees himself as a meant to defend smaller dragons. He is levelheaded and loves exploring. He loves flying for hours, taking in all the sights, smells and sounds.
