Physical Description of Persona:
Naldhavi’s light golden-bronze skin is smooth and even-toned. His hair is a sun-dusted brown, cut short at the sides but left tousled on top, the kind of artful disarray that looks as though it was shaped by the wind rather than a blade -- windswept, untamed, and always in motion. His dark brown eyes are clear and piercing, sharp as a dragon’s and just as watchful, set beneath heavy brows that give his gaze a natural weight. His features are bold and expressive, with full lips that shift easily from guarded silence to sly amusement. Lean but strong, he moves with a fluid, feline grace, adapting his stance and presence to suit the company he keeps.

In his clothing, he favors layers and muted colors -- greys, browns, and dusty blues -- that don’t draw attention but aren’t forgettable either. It’s not easy to dress up when you’re holdless, so he improvises with artful scarves or sashes, and maybe a ring or earring -- but rarely more than that, because he doesn’t aim to make himself a target.

His voice is smooth and unhurried, with a low, easy cadence that slips between charm and sarcasm without much warning. There’s a subtle rasp to it, like sand sliding over stone, giving weight to even his most casual remarks. He knows how to use silence as much as speech, often pausing just long enough to make someone wonder what he’s thinking -- or what he’s about to say. When he turns on the charm, his voice becomes warm and fluid, a natural storyteller’s rhythm, designed to disarm and persuade. But when he’s angry -- _really_ angry -- his tone doesn’t rise. It sharpens, quiet and cutting, the kind of anger that simmers cold beneath the surface.

Emotional Description of Persona:
Naldhavi is sharp, quick-witted, and always looking for an angle. Having grown up holdless, he learned early on that survival meant being faster, smarter, and always a step ahead. He’s resourceful, able to read a situation in an instant and adjust accordingly -- whether that means talking his way out of trouble, slipping out of sight, or turning an opportunity to his advantage.

He loves the game -- not just the ones he plays with cards and dice, but the thrill of outmaneuvering people, the satisfaction of pulling off a well-planned con. He doesn’t steal just to survive; he enjoys knowing he’s outwitted someone. It’s not always malicious -- sometimes it’s just for the fun of it -- but there’s a certain pride in proving he’s the cleverest person in the room.
Despite his easygoing charm, he holds grudges. He has moments when his temper overtakes him -- sometimes it’s loud and obvious, but other times… less so. Instead, he remembers. He files things away, waiting for the right moment to get even, whether that means a subtle dig, a calculated move, or simply watching and waiting until fate hands him the perfect opportunity.

He’s a bit of an opportunist, willing to take risks if he thinks the reward is worth it. He isn’t cruel, but he’s not above bending the truth or taking advantage of someone’s assumptions. He’s learned how to make people see what they expect to see -- and he’s good at it. That said, he’s not without loyalty. The people who prove themselves truly worth his trust are rare, but once he’s claimed someone as his own, he’ll stick with them -- though he’d rather die than admit it outright.

Naldhavi doesn’t openly challenge authority, but he doesn’t respect it blindly either. To their faces, he’s polite enough, playing the part required to stay out of trouble, but he sees rules as something to navigate, not obey. He’s quick to charm, deflect, or spin a convincing lie when needed, and if an authority figure proves incompetent or corrupt, he has no problem outmaneuvering or exploiting them. He won’t pick a fight with power, but he won’t hesitate to bend the system in his favor -- unless someone proves they truly deserve his respect.

History of Persona:
Naldhavi was born holdless, raised on the road as part of a traveling caravan that made its way across the continent’s margins. The caravan did honest work when it could -- trading, mending, foraging -- but more often, survival meant turning to less reputable means: herdbeast rustling, quiet raids, and clever thefts. From a young age, Naldhavi learned to live by his wits. He became a grifter by instinct and inclination, running games of chance, charming marks with card tricks and easy smiles, slipping into places he shouldn’t and easing doors open -- literally and figuratively -- for his people from the inside. He had a talent for fitting in, for becoming whoever people wanted to see -- and for walking away with their marks before they ever realized what they’d lost.

But in Turn 12, Naldhavi and his brother Akadja crossed a line that even their caravan wouldn’t forgive: they stole from their own. A clutch of fire-lizard eggs vanished under their hands, and for that betrayal, the brothers were cast out. They sold most of the eggs for a tidy sum, each keeping one for themselves, and drifted on the profits until winter drove them to seek shelter in the holdless caverns of the Western Barrier Range.

It might’ve ended there. When the heavy rains came, the caverns flooded, drowning out what little safety they’d found. Naldhavi and Akadja were among those rescued from the rising waters and brought to Dragonsfall Weyr -- wet, cold, and hungry, but alive. And just like that, a new chapter began.

Family and Friends
Akadja, 21, Holdless, Dragonsfall Weyr (Brother)

Dragon's Name: Malzyveth
Dragon's Age: 0
Dragon's Hatching Date: m12 d14
Dragon's Colour: Bronze
Description of Dragon:
Malzyveth is a smaller bronze, though sturdy and well-made even as a hatchling, his steps heavy and confident from his first moments out of the egg -- a creature of weight, of substance, of surety. His muzzle and jaw are a bit short, just a little bit rounded in a way that might even be called “cute”, if not for the subtle warning in his posture -- the poise, the stillness, the way he rarely twitches or flicks his tail or makes any movement that isn’t entirely deliberate. It’s somehow simultaneously the stillness of a predator preparing to pounce, and the unhurried laze of an animal with absolutely no fear of his surroundings and no desire to go anywhere until he’s good and ready. His hide is dark as tarnished metal along the spine and shoulders, with undertones of old gold and flickering brass. It looks almost smoky in low light, like something ancient pulled from a forge and forgotten, yet still warm underneath.

Malzyveth is immensely self-possessed, slow to speak but always watching. He carries himself with the quiet weight of inevitability -- an all-encompassing certainty that once he has made up his mind about something, he is right and it is true, and if it is not true, he will make it so. He is not gentle. He does not moralize. What he _does_ do is demand _purpose_. He saw through Naldhavi from the first moment -- all the masks, the charm, the manipulation -- and rather than rejecting him for it, he claimed him anyway. Not because he saw a hero in the making, but because he saw a man who could wield power properly if he ever took the moment to seize it rather than merely flirt with it.

He is proud -- but it’s not the bright, competitive pride of many bronzes. His pride is ancient and rooted, patient and sure. He doesn't have to be flashy. He has nothing to prove. He’ll let others rant and posture; he’ll speak when he believes it matters. And when he does, others listen.

He will constantly challenge N’dhavi to rise -- not to be good, but to be _effective_, whole, and unafraid of what he could be if he dropped the games.

Pets

Lurk, Blue Firelizard: aged 0, hatched m1 d22
Lurk is a sleek, shadowy deep-blue firelizard, very small for his color. Naldhavi has tried to teach him to keep watch and swipe little trinkets, and he tries very hard to learn, but still sometimes gets distracted mid-task. He’s not extremely bright, but he’s loyal.
