Physical Description of Persona:
Tsaetherian inherited his father’s dark brown hair and dark brown eyes, but he has his mother’s face. He hasn’t quite decided if he wants to grow a full beard or not (or if he even can) so there’s a dotting of scruff along his jawline. It makes him look older, he feels. He got his father’s height -- 5’9 -- but not his build, so Tsaetherian looks willowy. His voice is a high tenor, another gift from his mother. His attire tends to be blues and whites.

Emotional Description of Persona:
Tsaetherian is a young man trying to figure out what he wants to do with his life. He is loved and supported by his remaining parent so he knows that whatever he decides, he still has that, but the problem is still making a decision. This indecisiveness trickles down into other areas of his life. He doesn’t take risks. He plays everything safe. His friends tease him a lot for it. He hates it. But Tsaetherian has seen firsthand what risks do: get your mother killed in Threadfall.

Tsaetherian likes to have deep conversations. He likes hiking and reading. He likes learning what other crafts do. He likes trying things like that. He’s slowly acquiring a jack of all trades knowledge base. He likes that because it makes him feel useful. He likes being useful. Helpful. It’s better than the fear he has of losing someone like he did his mother. Which is why Tsaetherian is afraid of romantic relationships too, even though he knows he’s attracted to men.

History of Persona:
As the eldest child of K’thyr and Tsatya, Tsaetherian has always known Weyrlife. He loves it though: the fluidity, the novelty, the openness. His first six Turns were just exploring all of that. Since Thread hadn’t returned yet, he spent a lot of time with his parents and his brother, so growing up around a dragon was a privilege he took for granted.

But when Thread returned, that’s when Tsaetherian’s personality and life shifted. Gone was the carefree; now he worried if he would see his parents again. He became protective of his little brother, fighting off other weyrbrats who teased them. Family became the forefront thing in his little mind, as though by holding on to it as tightly as he could, he could keep them all together.

He was thirteen when his mother died in Threadfall.

Tsaetherian buried his pain. He saw that grief was doing to his father. It was awful. Eventually, they all managed to return to some sense of normality. Tsaetherian gained a half-sibling in the process. He started Standing at Hatchings. Then thinking about the future. He knew he was lucky in that he could stay at the Weyr for life -- it was just figuring out what he wanted to do with himself that was the issue.
