Physical Description of Persona:
Berjahir is moderately tall, not topping everyone in height but tall enough to glare down on at troublesome students. His dirty brown hair is cut in a several style, his hazel eyes are are topped by highly arched eyebrows. His build is still more on the muscular side. Gray is only just starting to appear in his hair.

Emotional Description of Persona:
Berjahir has grown into a stern man. In his youth he wasn't exactly the most jovial but he sometimes feels as if life has conspired against him. Some see him as menancing which he admits to some he does cultivate a bit. He may be gruff, but he is fair, although there is no room for frivolousness at his work, probably because he feels there is too much in his feminine home. But underneath the gruff expression he wears is a sad man just trying to do his best in life.

History of Persona:
Berjahir's young life was uneventful. It seemed to pass in a blur of climbing trees in the orchards and ducking around fields of vines. Being surrounded by the activities of the Vintner hall all his life it was the obvious choice of where to pursue his apprenticeship.

His current students would not recognize him for a boy who was often up to mischief. Not enough to get into major trouble, but interesting situations certainly arise when surrounded by so much spirits.

Berjahir was never exactly popular with the women, but he met the women that would eventually be his wife Nierondla when he was a journeymen in his early twenties. Her family were minor holders in Amesthyst Cliff who had sent their daughter to the main hold to look for a prospective holder. What she did find was the bottle... and another and another.

The two had been friendly for a while when someone caught them hung over in an intimate state one morning. So the two were betrothed and eventually married. Berjahir largely ignored her problem, as he was busy taking on teaching responsibilities and working towards his mastery. Then Nierondla got pregnant, and they had their first child.

Berjahir was so thrilled about his first child Niejarla that he wasn't so disapointed she wasn't a boy. It became apparent over time though something was wrong. It seems she was born slow and would never be like another child. Luckily this situation gave Nierondla and Berjahir a constant catalyst to help her get over her alcohol problems. Over time Nierondla became dry but Nierjarla was a constant reminder for much of their lives. Berjahir felt he could not bring work home anymore and once he felt Nierondla was safe spent more and more time away from home.

Soon after he was able to attain his Mastery and continued his focus, immersing himself at the hall. during this time his next two children were born Niraire and Mierde, both females. He began to get frustrated since it seemed his wife was unable to have a son, but he could not justify separating from her since he would need her to take care of their now three children.

Nierondla became pregnant once again. But there were complications during the birth and the child did not survive and Nierondla, although she pulled through would spend the rest of her life barren. One of the things that anguished Berjahir, was that the dead infant was male.

Berjahir grew ever more inward until he realized he would have to pass on his knowledge to some anonymous apprentice not his son. This is why he has such an interest in the children. His interactions are gruff, and they often find him quite intimidating, but he truly has the best intentions for the students in the hall.

His daughters only finally came into focus when they began to reach marriageable age. He would make sure they would not fall into the same pitfalls their mother had (he seems to have forgotten he was also partially to blame). He was able to find a position for Niejarla in the kitchens of the crafthall and is now looking for an appropriate match for Niraire amongst the older lads that he mentors.
