Physical Description of Persona:
His growth spurt nearly complete, Arcon stands at an impressive 6'4". A lifetime of farm work have given him broad shoulders and a muscular frame. His skin is darkly tanned from all the time spent outdoors and his hands are roughly calloused from work. His dark hair is cut short and contrasts nicely with pale blue eyes.

Emotional Description of Persona:
Arcon believes a man is only as good as his word. If he says something, he means it. This is how he was raised to be and he hasn't learned yet that not everyone in the world shares this conviction. He believes in working hard and earning his keep. When he is given a job, he will not stop until it is finished and done well. He believes in helping out when ever he can. If he finishes his chores first, he will volunteer to help another who's lagging behind. This sort of teamwork is how his family's cothold was run and it just comes naturally to him.

He believes that women have their role as wife and mother. He is not cruel or disdainful of females, on the contrary, he treats them with a great deal of courtesy. He just can not fathom why any female would want any other sort of life than to marry and have babies and take care of the home. To him it is like trying to understand a fish that wanted to walk on land.

History of Persona:
Arcon was born on a small farming cothold beholden to Garnet Valley Hold. They grow mostly wheat crops there. He is the sixth of fourteen children born by two mothers. His birth mother died in childbirth with her ninth baby. His father remarried and his second wife gave him five more children.

By the time each child was eight turns old, they were helping on the farm in some way. The girls with the cleaning, cooking, laundry or helping take care of younger siblings. The boys were put to work in the fields, hoeing, weeding, clearing irrigation channels of debris and plowing. Everyone but the youngest children worked in the fields at harvest time and planting time.

A traveling harper came by on a regular basis to give the children lessons so they would know the teaching songs and the basics of reading and writing. None of them were allowed to apprentice to a craft though, the cothold was too small to spare them.

Arcon grew up believing that he would spend the rest of his life working in the wheat fields of his family's farm and had never even considered any alternative. Until the day the blue dragon and its rider landed in front of the cothold and changed his life. He hadn't wanted to go with the Searchrider, but his father told him he had to. That it was his duty now that he'd been Searched.

So, he packed a bag and went with the Searchrider to River Bluff Weyr. To a place as far removed from anything Arcon had ever known in his life as one could possibly imagine.
