Physical Description of Persona:
Ga'vin could be called handsome, and although some part of him is quietly proud of that, he won't ever admit it. With chin-length burnished gold hair and startlingly clear blue eyes set in a face that could almost be called delicate, he could have broken many an audience member's heart, even if his voice weren't the pure, rich tenor that it is. He is fit from his years of dragonriding, which added muscle to his lean frame. His only short coming, to his mind, is his height, or lack thereof. He's always been shorter than he would have liked, standing at only 5'7".

Emotional Description of Persona:
Ga'vin, when not performing, is quiet, but always ready with a tale or a joke. He is most comfortable surrounded by people, and will never fail to attempt to lighten the mood at least a little bit, even when such isn't always completely appropriate- like during wing meetings and drills. Not that he goes against authority, never that! Just...some people take life much too seriously. And Gav'in was never very good at being serious.

History of Persona:
Garivin was born at Harper Hall, and followed in the footsteps of his father by begining his training at the Hall. And, like his father, he excelled at performance, inheriting his father's voice and talent with instruments. He could play almost anything reasonably well after a few weeks of picking up an instrument.

He flew through his music lessons with surprizing speed, until one Gather when he was Searched, and whisked away to the Weyr to Stand at age 18, when he Impressed blue Xalanyth.

It was a shock that his parents slowly became used to, since they had fostered high hopes that maybe Garivin...now Ga'vin... would have become one of the Hall's youngest MasterHarpers, and perhaps one day even become the HallMaster. That particular aspiration their son never shared, he was happy just to perform and write his music, and later to fly in a fighting wing.

When Xalanyth showed an aptitude for Search, Ga'vin was more than pleased to be sent out to various Holds and Halls seeking out likely Candidates. Besides, it gave him other audiences to perform before.

Description of Dragon:
Xalanyth is an average-sized blue with a dark, dark hide. He is very lithe and agile in the air, and tends toward arial acrobatics that might be more showy than wise. Like his rider, Xalanyth likes to show off, although he is responsible enough to never endanger his rider or the rest of his wing. The blue is very frindly to dragon and human alike, sensitive to peronalities and character, which makes him good at sensing Candidate material.
