Physical Description of Persona:
E'dian is of average height and build, appearing to be more a scholarly figure than a dragonrider. His hair is so dark a brown it is nearly black, worn slightly too long so it falls about his face. His eyes are a startlingly dark blue, his most noticible feature.

Emotional Description of Persona:
E'dian is quiet and reserved. While not particularly shy, he is certainly more apt to keep to himself than to be outgoing. E'dian is highly dedicated to his craft, to his service to the Weyr, and his dragon. Indeed, at times it seems as though these are the only things that matter in his life.

History of Persona:
Etridian was born at Far Island Weyr, to a pair of dragonriders who both died of an illness when he was but five turns old. Although fostered as most weyrborn children were, Etridian was fortunate in that much of his upbringing was overseen by his grandmother, Alixana, who was a Dragonhealer and indtroduced Etridian to the Healer's craft at a very young age.

His earliest memories, and most cherished ones, are of the Infirmary watching his Grandmother treat her patients with a care and a precision that made a great impact upon him. He learned to admire and to respect her talents, and always strove to be worthy of her teaching.

Etridian choose not to Stand at Hatchings until he had reached Journeyman status in Healercraft at age eighteen, wanting to have a solid foundation in his craft in case he did not Impress.

Etridian Impressed Shandarath, a bronze, his first tine standing. Etridian, now E'dian, devoted himself to weyrling training, and eventually followed his grandmother's footsteps in Dragonhealing once he began to fly in a fighting wing.

However, recent events have forced him to reconsider his shift in specialty, and he has returned to his original path of study- human Healing instead of dragon Healing. It was a very difficult decision to make, and E'dian is still coping with the tragic circumstace that led to the change.

Now, following his grandmother to Dragonsfall, he is hoping to start over again, and leave the past behind.

Description of Dragon:
Shandarath is a slightly larger than average bronze, although lean and lithe. His hide is an intermediate hue, responding well to fluctuations in the light.
Shandarath is so like his rider in many ways, being quiet and serious, and yet, very kind when dealing with the young or injured.

Pets

Mei, Green Firelizard: aged 11, hatched m2 d23
Mei was a gift from a friend and wingmate. She is a bright emerald green in color, and very small, even for her color. She is clever, but seems to have a difficult time keeping her attention on any one thing.
