Physical Description of Persona:
To phrase it simply, Jilynn is beautiful and looks turns younger than she is. She has high cheekbones and a nicely shaped nose set above full lips. Her eyes are violet and framed by long dark lashes. Her medium brown hair is long and thick with a tendency toward curling. If she lacks anything, it is height as she is only 5'3" tall, but she has nice curves and a narrow waist, despite having born three children.

Emotional Description of Persona:
Interestingly enough, Jilynn's beauty was one thing she always considered a bane. She would much rather be known for intelligence and intellect. When she was younger this frustration caused her some heartache but she has long since reconciled the bitterness of being seen only as a pretty face.

Jilynn is extremely straightforward and does not care much at all for dissembling so she can be rather candid but is in no way unkind. She cares very much for people, but does not have a high tolerance for those who whine about their circumstances, but take no action to change those things that they complain about. Although she will always offer a willing ear or a shoulder to cry on, it will not take long before she's offering a piece of advice to help solve the problem.

Having always pushed herself to excel, she has high expectations not only for herself but for those who work for her. She is understanding up to a point, but one is better off not to cross the line with her. If someone is not living up to his or her potential you can be sure Jilynn will remedy the situation soon enough. Though her greatest talent is in the kitchen, she has great leadership skills which she has applied quite well to other areas in the Hold.

History of Persona:
Born one of eight girls in a cothold beholden to Opal Cove, Jilynn was always inquisitive and ambitious and the leader despite the fact that she was one of the youngest. Being six turns old when the plague hit the cothold, she was able to remember the devastation it wrought and always had an interest in healing, though with the ban on women crafters apprenticing was of course never an option. Jilynn was always precocious and by eleven turns of age she was well aware of the limitations that she faced as a female and was bound to overcome them. Frustrated because her pretty face always got her cosseted, she developed a bit of a temper and an extremely independent spirit.

She knew that in order to fulfill her ambitions and travel away from the simple cothold she needed to excel in a womanly art. Already interested in herbs, she chose cooking and set herself to becoming the best cook ever and was hugely successful in her endeavor. By age fourteen, an aunt invited her to come work in the kitchens at the main Hold at Opal Cove. Her parents agreed as her father was hoping that her pretty face might draw attention and provide a better marriage than could be arranged at the small cothold.

The attractive girl received far more attention than she cared for from the men in the Hold, which served to frustrate her to no end. Ignoring all advances, she put everything into her work and by seventeen turns was known for her exceptional cooking skills. She was also the one that the hold children came to for scraped knees and other small ailments. Before she turned eighteen Jilynn met Greaydon, a senior journeyman beastcrafter 27 turns her senior. An extremely large man, he was quiet and gentle and not in the least bit attractive. He never even considered courting the beautiful Jilynn, which is what allowed them to become friends and then to fall in love.

They were married before Jilynn turned nineteen and she moved with him to the Beastcraft Hall where her culinary skills were enthusiastically welcomed. Over the turns, Greaydon became a master beastcrafter and Jilynn bore three children. Eventually she became the head cook at the Hall. As their children grew and made their own lives both Greaydon and Jilynn felt like a change so Greaydon accepted a position at Garnet Valley, the Hold of his birth, and Jilynn filled an open position as head cook and was soon running the kitchens, under the direction of the Headwoman. When asked by the Headwoman to assist with some additional tasks around the Hold, Jilynn agreed confidant in her ability to fulfill the additional duties.

As shocked as everyone else by the tumultuous events at Garnet Valley, Jilynn steppped up to help whenever possible to keep the Hold running smoothly, assuming more and more responsibility. Her diligence was rewarded when she was offered the position of Headwoman.
