Physical Description of Persona:
A fairly tall woman, at 5'8" Drina wishes that she were shorter and therefore less conspicuous. Though not overweight, she is also not thin, with moderately curved upper body and slightly wider hips. Her sandy blonde hair is worn long and curly, though she normally tries to tame it back into a single runnertail. Her eyes are pale blue, set into a face with wide cheekbones and fair skin.

Emotional Description of Persona:
Drina does not feel comfortable unless she is caring for others. She is especially drawn to children and shows extreme patience with them, though she must occasionally remind herself to allow her daughter and her other charges to do things for themselves. She enjoys being with others, but she is slow to become involved in relationships. She has never been comfortable around men and prefers the company of female friends.

History of Persona:
Born at Dragonsfall Weyr, the daughter of two dragonriders, Drina's mother died when the girl was only five turns old, as did the male baby she was birthing. Though her father visited her often, she was much more attached to her fostermother and saw Shelba as her true parent. She enjoyed helping with the other children in Shelba's care, including, eventually, her half-brothers and half-sister. Little else besides child care held any interest for her, so she never apprenticed to a craft. She stood at several Hatchings, more because her father expected it of her than for any other reason.

While the other girls of the Weyr were commenting on and chasing boys, Drina did not really understand why all the fuss, though she did experiment as much as her companions. At the age of sixteen she found that she was pregnant, a situation which suited her since it gave her an excuse not to participate in the next Hatching. After the birth of her daughter, she agreed to be milkmother to a greenrider's baby and also helped the Weyr's fostermothers with their charges. Her first official fosterchild was Kellaw, whose mother Impressed when he was only two months old. She hopes to take on other fosterchildren as well.

A long-haired black and white female feline, Tink is inquisitive and playful. Though she is actually Drisha's kitten, which the girl was allowed to choose as a birthingday gift, Drina ends up providing most of the care for the animal.
