Physical Description of Persona:
Fog stands tall at approximately six foot two inches tall. He has light brown/blonde, wavy hair, and would be termed handsome if there wasn't that slightly vacant look about him. He has scars up around his forehead and temples from an accident, but he manages to keep the more unsightly ones covered by his longer than usual hair.

His eyes are blue/green, echoing the colour of the water that slides past the Sungazer. He has a broad mouth and wide lips, and white even teeth. His smile is lopsided, which gives him a cheeky look when he flashes an all too rare smile. He has the rolling gait of a seamen, and is usually covered in grease and oil from working in the engine room of the boat.

Emotional Description of Persona:
Before his accident Follen was a happy and contented man, satisfied with his lot in life, and happily married to Marilea. He was smarter than average, and a valued crewmember who worked on the boat's engines as though born to it, but all of that changed with the accident that almost killed him.

Now, Fog (as he has become known), is quieter and more reserved than he used to be. He hasn't lost his intelligence - but he is easily confused by even the simplest things. He feels self conscious around people, because he knows he is different to what he was before, and worries that it makes a difference to others.

History of Persona:
Fog grew up aboard the Sungazer with his parents and extended family. Life on the river is all he has known. From apprentice age he has been learning about the Sungazer and how to keep it running smoothly up and down the Nettleweed River. His childhood was spent running amok on board with his cousins and younger sister Neke.

It was love at first sight for he and his wife Marilea when they met on a fateful trip along the River. Marilea came aboard with her parents, who were making a new start for themselves in a newly settled cothold. She travelled back and forth a couple of times a turn visiting her grandparents upriver.

It only took two turns of the infrequent trips for the pair to finally admit they were in love. They married and shortly after had their older daughter Tahna. Life was good for them, both happy to be a part of the family crew aboard the Sungazer. Happier still to find a few turns later that Marilea was to have another child.

Within a month of Linli being born though, things changed dramatically for the young family. Fog fell overboard late one afternoon and before anyone could help him back on board, he had been trapped between the boat and the rough shoreline. His head held in a vice-like grip, his skull almost cracked in two.

The damage his head and brain suffered changing the man almost beyond recognition. Finally the scars faded and the internal swelling subsided, to leave a shadow of the former man.

Marilea left the boat, not able to cope with the changes her husband underwent following his accident. But she left empty-handed, leaving him not only to recover on his own, but to raise their two children as well.

Fog has been supported through all the turmoil by his family, and especially his sister Neke - who has taken to fostering his two daughters through Fog's recovery, and since Marilea left has continued in that capacity. Fog still works aboard the Sungazer, but no longer is he in a position to take over as engineer when his father finally decides to retire.
