Writer: Stasha
Name: Alasha
Age:
25
Birthday: m8 d14
Rank: Candidate
Location: Dragonsfall Weyr
Physical Description of Persona:
Many say that Alasha has taken a lot after her mother, Murasha. Alasha does not take shame in this, and tends to mimic her mother when it comes to her appearance.
Her waves of hair are a ebony brown hue, nearly black, and she keeps it in braids or lose, allowing the locks to fall to her waist. Her long dark hair compliments her ghostly white skin, which is pale from lack of sun, and nearly free of blemish because of the care she placed in it. She has a long face, more like her father, along with his deep gray eyes and his elongated nose, but her softly curved lips are a shape that belongs solely to Alasha rather than to her parentage.
She also has a womanly hourglass figure, that she enjoys complimenting with blue and green dresses, and occasionally during special events she will dare to wear red. She tries to hold herself with grace, something she learned from turns of discipline, but there is a confidence that still eludes the form that she attempts to carry herself in.
Emotional Description of Persona:
Alasha has never been the most confident woman, and she always wears her emotions on her sleeve. She is a very empathetic individual, and is always attempting to please those around her, not only so she can have the joy of making some one happy, but also so she does not have to feel the discomfort of negative emotions (especially when they are directed at her). The one thing she hates the most is manipulation, and even though her mother taught her the skills she refuses to use them.
Alasha is an idealist, but tends to be naive because of it. She wants to see the best in people, but she is starting to learn that not everyone has the best intentions. It hurts her sometimes to see just how cruel people can be, especially when it is her stepfather Desamin.
Alasha is also very inexperienced sexually, and has never been kissed. She becomes shy when she is around a boy she is attracted to, blushing fiercely. Still, her mother has taught her the skills that she needs to remain composed around them. Beyond her shyness, she has grown up in many other ways, and has the wisdom and responsibility that many other people her age seem to lack.
Yet, the most important characteristic that defines Alasha the most is her loyalty to her true family, and the very few friends that she does have. She looks to her mother and her father as role models for how she wants to be someday.
History of Persona:
Alasha was born under a circumstance that is never favorable for some one who lives in a hold. Her mother, Murasha, was the wife of a rich cotholder, Desamin, and had bore six children for him before Alasha. But after a decade in a failing marriage, and one passionate night in the arms bronze rider, A'berso, Murasha conceived her to-be daughter. It was obvious to Desamin that her next child was not his because she had not shared his bed in two turns, but he hid Alasha's parentage from other cotholders for the first few turns of Alasha's existence, mostly to save himself from the embarrassment of his wife's estrangement.
Though Desamin hated the girl that he had to call a daughter for the turns to come, Murasha loved her more than any other child she had bore, because Alasha represented the one night that she truly experienced love. She raised Alasha as any other rich cotholder's daughter would have been raised; with dignity, elegance, self control, confidence. But Alasha seemed to have a mind of her own sometimes, not completely conforming with the traditions that her mother taught, such as the skill of manipulation. It did not matter to Murasha, she respected Alasha's decision, and even challenged her to be different, all while under the scrutinizing watch of Desamin. However, raising Alasha was not easy for Murasha. Desamin was callous to the young girl, no matter how hard she tried to please the man. It pained Murasha to watch her daughter grow up without someone who could truly be a father to her, so she finally decided to change all that.
When Alasha was eight turns old she was surprised to see a bronze dragon come to their cothold. What surprised her even more was that she and her mother were invited to the hatching that was going to occur at Dragonsfall Weyr. While under the watchful eye of her mother, Alasha began to interact with others of the weyr, especially with a boy about her age named Anson, who was A'berso's son. She seemed to get along very well with Anson, and even she did not understand why. He was with her when she watched the hatching, while her mother and the bronzerider, A'berso, sat in the distance watching them. After the hatching during the celebration Murasha finally revealed to Alasha that A'berso was her father and Anson was her brother. It was shocking for her at first, but she quickly grew accustom to her newly found family as she celebrated the hatching with them.
When they returned to the cothold the next day, Desamin was furious that Murasha and Alasha had left for the hatching, but A'berso remained long enough to protect them from Desamin's wrath, by expressing his joy that he had a daughter, and assured(warned) the cotholder that he would be visiting more often now to see his daughter. Desamin kept his rage to himself, and for the next few turns he hid himself in the cothold as A'berso came to see Alasha, and to his outrage, Murasha.
Now, after eight turns Alasha has become a young lady. Her eyes are beginning to wander from the hold, and she longs to go to the weyr with her family, but she does not want to leave her mother behind. She is torn between being happy in the weyr and perhaps even stand on the hatching grounds, and making her mother happy, the mother who has given up everything for her.

Pets
Zephyr, Bronze Firelizard: aged 8, hatched m8 d4
Zephyr is a very classic bronze, his hide perfectly mimicking the tone of bronze metal. There are tints of dark browns and light golds that are hinted in his hide, but his smooth bronze is mostly dominate.
Because of the affection that Alasha lavishes him in, Zephyr is hard to separate from her... unless something he cannot resist catches his attention. He is normally found on her shoulder by the curve of her neck and can stay there for hours if she lets him. Often Zephyr likes to reward Alasha's loyalty with gifts that he finds when he does, for some reason, depart from her. These tokens of appreciation may be a ball of dust, a pretty stone, a shiny piece of metal, a lost mark, or what ever he can find, and he almost always drops it in front of her upon his return...
