Name: Ramzen
Age: 41
Birthday: m12 d17
Rank: Senior Journeyman Beasthealer
Location: Sunstone Seahold
Craft: Beasthealer
Craft Rank: Senior Journeyman

Physical Description of Persona:
Ramzen is fairly tall with reddish hair and a moustache. His body is long and lean; there's nothing particularly remarkable about his features, though there's a twinkle in his eye that many find rather charming.

Emotional Description of Persona:
This is a man who doesn't seem to fit into any sort of a mould. Many people aren't quite sure what to make of him; he's gentle and caring to animals as well as people, but though he's very careful with other people's feelings he has no shame when it comes to his own and is happy putting himself out with the possibility of ridicule. He's just very comfortable with who he is and feels there's no reason to try to conform to what others think he should be. And so he will try anything that strikes his fancy, be it writing poetry, cooking, fencing, embroidery or gardening. Some he's good at, some he's not, but he figures he'll never know what he likes until he tries. As such, he has a wide range of hobbies and is always trying out new ones in his spare time.

As a very successful crafter with steady work and a gentle nature, some might wonder as to why he has not yet settled down and started a family. It seems to be the one thing he has NOT yet tried. The truth is that he's very particular as to what he's looking for. He wants a partner - someone who shares his curiosity, who accepts his eccentricities, and who can join in the fun. He doesn't want a mother, but he doesn't want the perfect little home-maker, either. So far he just hasn't found the right woman, and until he does, while he enjoys the attentions of the opposite sex, he will contentedly remain a bachelor until someone who can meet his specific criteria comes along.

History of Persona:
Ramzen was born to a farmer on an island in the Sea of Azov. While his father raised porcines and the occasional herdbeast to supplement the family's diet, as well as the odd runner, his main cash crop was corn and other vegetables. His son had very little interest in working in the fields, and spent as much time as he could around the animals of the farm, delighting in the chores around their pens and raising some fine livestock. Though his father had hoped to leave his farm one day to his eldest son, he begrudgingly accepted that Ramzen did have a way with living creatures, and much to the whole family's surprise, it was he who suggested that they apprentice him to the Beastcraft.

It was not easy for the family to put Ramzen through an apprenticeship at the Beastcraft Hall, something that he has never forgotten and has never taken for granted. In fact, he still sends home a bit of his earnings in one form or another when he gets the chance. As his graduation to journeyman drew near, Ramzen decided it was healing that he was especially interested in and his Masters agreed he had a wonderfully calming affect on animals and people alike.

When he was offered a chance to work at Sunstone Seahold, he was intrigued. It was a new part of the South - a whole different environment and a different climate all together. He was told he would be roaming around a rather large area, tending to the animals as needed. The freedom to get out into the open, to meet all sorts of people, to explore the whole region as part of his work sounded like a wonderful opportunity and he took it with little hesitation.

Now he has lived in Sunstone for close to six turns. He feels settled and comfortable in his home, and there is nowhere else he would rather be.

Family and Friends
Galzen, 72, Farmer (Father)
Ramali, 59, Farmer's Wife (Mother)
Gamar, 38, Farmer (Brother)

Pets

Bolt, Runner: aged 13, born m13 d22
This black gelding's name was chosen more for irony than as a description. He's a good reflection of his human - calm and laid back, in no rush, happy to just wander around as the whim takes him, but when called into action he performs his duty admirably.

Bounder, Canine: aged 11, born m1 d1
Bounder came from a litter of pups a group of boys found while playing by the river. Someone had abandoned them there among the reeds. They rescued them and took them Ramzen. While he was able to rear most past the weaning stage and find homes for all of them, he decided to keep one for himself - a tiny brown puppy with enormous feet and a seemingly inexhaustible reserve of energy. He figured the little pup would need it to keep up with Bolt and himself while travelling out and about for his craft duties. And Bounder does not disappoint! In fact, he quite enjoys trotting along with them and has proved to be the perfect companion for Ramzen.
