Physical Description of Persona:
Gaiya is of average height,and though she is not skinny she is round in all the right places. She has a pleasant smile and large round brown eyes. Her straight auburn hair falls just past her shoulders. She is very concerned with her appearance. This comes not from vanity, but from a desperate desire to be attractive, so she is always trying out new looks.

Emotional Description of Persona:
Gaiya has a habit of speaking before she thinks, leading some to mistake her as being a bit dim at times, though in actuality she is quite smart. She is also a hopeless romantic with a very active imagination, leading her to spend a lot of time daydreaming when she should be concentrating on other tasks. This has given rise to her reputation of being clumsy.
Despite her faults, though, is well loved. She is very playful, and loves nothing better than spending time with children. People take great joy in her antics, though Gaiya often can't understand why people find her so funny. Everything she says is straight forward and sincere. She has a very loving heart that reaches out to people. Gaiya desperately wants people to think well of her, and her heart is easily bruised. Even so, she never doubts that she is loved and that carries her through trying times. Her warm heart and imaginative, playful nature has made her a favorite among adults and children alike.

History of Persona:
Gaiya was born and raised in River Bluff Weyr. Her father was a visiting bronzerider and her mother was a laundry drudge who unfortunately died giving birth to her younger brother when she was 8. Both she and her half-brother were raised by a foster mother. Gaiya always felt a deep sense of responsibility towards her half-brother, and spent a great deal of time caring for him. Her love and easy way with children came from that experience.

After her harper schooling was finished, Gaiya could not decide on a craft that interested her. As a child in the Weyr she had been presented a chance to stand for a Hatching, but Gaiya was not interested in that either. Instead she opted for the life of a drudge.

Gaiya spent her days dreaming of her childhood fantasy - to win the heart of a devoted bronzerider who would ask her to be her Weyrmate, forsaking all others (except for during a flight of course). She was also sought out by the children as a favorite playmate, and so between her daydreaming and the time she spent with the children, very little of her real duties ever got done. There were also more than one minor disaster attributed to her lack of concentration. Finally, it has been decided that it would better serve (and perhaps protect!) the Weyr if she would devote her time to the children she loves as a foster mother.

Pepper, Feline: aged 14, born m13 d8
Pepper is a large male feline. He is all black save for a small white patch on his chest. He is a terrific hunter, and often brings "presents" for Gaia. He is surprisingly gentle with children, letting them pick him up and pull his hair. Though he never hurts a child, he is not afraid to let them know when he has had enough. Pepper can't stand to hear a child cry, and so whenever he hears the sound he has to come to investigate. He is a very gentle and loving pet.
