Physical Description of Persona:
Esiah has a strong, masculine face that would be described as chiseled. His nose is strong, rising between two heavy set brows that rest above a pair of serious, blue eyes. His cheekbones are high and defined. The lower half of his face is usually shielded by a neatly trimmed beard that hides his slightly thin lips. His hair is cut an inch beneath his ears in a wavy sweep, which he usually finger combs away from his face. His hair is a dirty blonde mix, some strands darker, and others naturally highlighted.

The harper has a tall, firm body. Unlike dragonriders who have a natural work-out, Esiah chooses to make exercise a daily regimen. His frame is lean and agile, and he walks with the confidence of someone who knows what he wants in life.

Emotional Description of Persona:
Esiah was not born at the Weyr, and does not always share popular opinions in the Weyr, but he does respect the dragonriders that fly Thread to keep Pern safe. He loves to observe people, and since his craft is in the art-field, he spends a lot of time sketching unknowing individuals in the Dining Cavern. Esiah has a level head on his shoulders and is always, if not annoyingly so, logical and pragmatic. The harper makes friends easily, but is naturally a little more quiet than others, and often prefers to let others do the talking. He's never had trouble with women or men, and has had many relationships in his life, none of which, he will happily note, ended sourly.

History of Persona:
Esiah was born the fourth son of a minor holder. Since his eldest brother had the worries of being heir, and his other two brothers were made to marry for profitable alliances, Esiah was essentially off the hook and never received much attention from his father- not that he minded at all. Esiah mostly spent time with his mother who loved doting on "her baby." Everiah couldn't have much say in her other three son's lives, but Esiah was the one child that she poured her effort into the most. It was from this one-on-one nurturing that Esiah gained such respect and deep insight for other. It is also from his mother that Esiah gained his deep interest in the arts and was encouraged to pursue the harper-craft.

At age fourteen Esiah was taken on as an apprentice harper. At age twenty he made journeyman, and by age twenty four he began traveling. Every two Turns the Journeyman was placed somewhere else. First a Hold, then a cothold that needed a harper, then to the Weyr, and then back to the Hold. Finally, Esiah has recently moved to Dolphin Cove where he worked for Turns before achieving the rank of Master.
