Physical Description of Persona:
L'airev is a big man in almost every aspect; height (6'3), shoulders, arms, hands, feet, appetite, heart… However he's not oversized in ego or voice. He's actually not a big talker and when he does speak, he does it softly and with purpose. Everything he does it deliberate and thought through first, with the exception of fighting thread, which of course needs quick reflexes and snap judgements, as well as careful planning.

He has dark brown hair, kept short to fit under a helmet, hazel eyes and tanned skin. His body is fit and firm. He has to work out hard to keep it that way; his is the kind of body which would go soft in only a short amount of time.

He prefers simple, comfortable clothes, especially given that he has to have them made and anything fancy would be expensive. He's left-handed.

Emotional Description of Persona:
L'airev is calm and even-tempered most of the time. He's only human of course, so he does occasionally lose his temper. When he does, it's best to avoid him, he can have a big voice to match his big fists. If you make him angry, chances are you did something really worth losing his temper over, and were probably warned to stop. He doesn't suffer fools and people who disregard rules which were put in place for a reason.

History of Persona:
Lanairev was born in a small fishing hold. All of his male relatives were fish crafters and the women worked hard taking care of them. If you stood still for more than a few minutes, you were probably not pulling your weight, get back to work!

Lanairev had an above average singing voice and wanted to become a harper, but no one took him seriously, even the harper who occasionally visited the hold. Disillusioned, but accepting, he took up an apprenticeship as a fisher, although he'd sing softly while he worked. He earned his journey knots and became betrothed to Baralissa, a 'suitable' girl who he did care for.

One fateful day, dragons arrived on Search and sniffed him out. He knew he wouldn't impress, but Baralissa encouraged him to go, to see a bit of the world for them both. So he went. And impressed.

He wrote home for a long time, until Baralissa replied that she was marrying someone else. Shortly after, a friend wrote that Baralissa had given birth to a particularly large baby boy. He went back to visit and saw the baby. It was clearly his, but had been claimed by her new husband. He left a letter to introduce himself if Baralissa ever thought the boy would want to seek him out.

His younger brother Sharev is a master dolphineer at Dolphin Cove.

Like his rider, Jacdeth is a big, solid creature. His hide is a dark bronze, one of the darker of the Weyr. He's generally calm and also a dragon of few words.

Whisper, contrary to his name, is noisy. Luckily it's usually a pleasant noise, as he loves to sing.
