Characters: Ciendra, P'ton
Description: Ciendra and P'ton meet after the Hatching
Location: Dolphin Cove Weyr
Date: month 11, day 18 of Turn 7
Notes: Mentioned: Qorri

Ciendra was scratching Lialeth's knobs. The dragonet's head rested on
her lap and she was about to fell asleep. Ciendra was happy and
Lialeth was most amazing and most beautiful dragon in whole Pern.
"You're so pretty. Nobody will ever take you away from me," she was
using the sweet talking tone people often used with small babies.

}: Why would they even want to? :{ Lialeth wondered sleepily and yawned.

"Amazing aren't they?" P'ton asked the slim girl with the dark brown
hair as he approached, one hand fondly resting on his very full and
satiated little bronze. The tall youth took a seat next to the girl
and Cirynath plopped down contentedly next to him, leaning against his
lifemate.

"Yes, they are," Ciendra replied enthusiastically. She thought she
recognized his face from candidate classes, as one of the recently
Searched. She herself had been in Weyr for almost a Turn.

She was a pretty girl and usually P'ton would make a pass, but he was
far too enamored with his newly hatched bronze right now. He reached
to scratch the sensitive eye ridge, relishing the immediate sense of
appreciation and love the small dragon sent his way. "I'm P'ton and
this is Cirynath," he said, returning his attention to the girl.

"I am Ciendra and this lovely thing is my Lialeth," Ciendra replied.

"She's beautiful," P'ton said with a smile wondering if his face
looked as besotted as Ciendra's. Probably so. He looked at his little
bronze, noting the differences in size and conformation between the
two clutchmates.

}:I am bigger.:{ Cirynath noted sleepily, peering at Lialeth with a
half lidded eye as he leaned even more heavily onto P'ton.

**Of course you are. You're a bronze.**

"Have you been at the Weyr long?" he asked Ciendra, knowing he'd seen
her in classes.

"A Turn or so, long enough to stand few times," Ciendra replied.
Lialeth had fallen off to sleep and she carefully pulled herself out
under her.

"And where was home before?" P'ton asked rubbing Cirynath's headknob
affectionately as the bronze's eyes started to droop further.

"Emerald Falls hold," Ciendra replied and shook the cramps out of her legs.

"Me, too. Well not the main Hold. My family is trying to
re-establish Merry Brook. I have to say I'm mighty glad to come to
the Weyr." He looked down at his bronze with affection and realized
Cirynath was nearly asleep now. They should probably get settled in
the barracks soon.

"Me, I'm from Green Valley and before that, Red Rush," Ciendra was
delighted to find someone from the same hold.

"I visited the main Hold a few times and our neighboring Holds, but I
never visited the minor Holds to the west of the main Hold. Do you
miss it?" He had been only too thrilled to move to the Weyr without a
backward glance, but he knew others might feel differently.

"Sometimes," Ciendra admitted. "Not my aunt though," she shuddered at
the bad memories. Well, she couldn't touch her now and from what she
had heard, Qorri had replaced her as the Headwoman of Green Valley.

"I'm pleased to be out from my father's thumb," P'ton shared. "We
didn't agree on much. He was all work and no play, while I rather like
to play a little," the boy of fifteen turn quipped offering the girl a
rakish grin. "Speaking of which, are you going to the feast after we
get these little ones settled?"

"Yes, it will be welcome change to be guest of honour instead of
serving drinks and food," Ciendra said. She was suddenly feeling bit
shy. He was a cute boy and bronzerider. "Now if you excuse me, I need
to change my clothes," she actually blushed when she said it. There
was no way she could switch clothes when there was even remote chance
a male might see her.

"Yes, I need to get this handsome fellow comfortable and change
myself," P'ton agreed with a smile or the pretty girl. "See you at the
feast. Be sure and save me a dance."

Ciendra's eyes turned round. Dance? She was supposed to dance?
