Characters: F'lian, D'wol
Description: Ferlian admiers Driwol's gold flit.
Location: Dolphin Cove Weyr
Date: month 10, day 2 of Turn 3

Ferlian spotted the gold flit and looked for her owner. He'd heard she belonged to a harper and figured that if he got in his good graces he might be able to get a flit of his own.

Dirwol was sitting on the beach watching the waves. It was his favorite time of day. The sun was just beging to set and it's rays played off of the waves. He watched as his two flits danced and dived. The setting sun made them gleem as bright as jewels.

"Is she yours?" Farlian asked, nodding the gold.

"Yes," he smiled as he continued watching them. "Her name is Treasure."

"I can see why you nemaed her that, she beautiful."

"Yes she does live up to her name. I am Dirwol and you are?" He finally turned to look at the boy. He knew that people would want to befriend him because of her. In truth, he didn't mind.

"Ferlian, I'm a candidte, formor trader. You?"

"Harper." He studied the boy. Taking in his look and the way he held himself. He could see the barely supressed enthusiasm and smiled. "Would you like to touch her?" He asked as he called to the flit. She landed daintily on Dirwol's outstretched arm. "Hello Treasure, I'm Ferlian. Your beautiful but I'm sure you get told that all the time." He reached over and rubbed her small head gentely.

The little flit crooned at the attention. Flips flew over to see waht was going on and crooned for some attention to. "This little guy is Flips. he seems to be a bit jealous." He rubbed the blue with his free hand.

Ferlain used his other hand to scrach the blue, "I'm sorry I didn't mean to upset you." he told the blue.

Dirwol smiled as he watched the boy. Both flits were enjoying themselves greatly. "So, tell me about yourself."

"I'm an apprentice baker, I've been the weyr for three turns and my parents are traders." He eyed to haper for a moment. "I'm a candidte but I'm not always in the barrkes. I spent as many nights as I can get away with a friend of mine, he's a bluerider." He'd found that being upfront was best.

"Ahh, so, you have a handsome young bluerider to keep your nights with.
There is nothing wrong with that. I admire a fellow who is not afraid to admit to how he feels." He smiled gently.

The baker smiled. It was good to know that Dirwol would get too strange. Too many hall and hold bred did. "What about you, anyone special in your life?"

"Not currently, but then again I haven't realy been looking yet." He noticed as the boy relaxed a bit.

"The weyrs a good place to do that. Not too many people get overly terratorial."

"Then perhaps I will find a lovely lady." He smiled.

Ferlian shruggged, "If thats what your looking for."

Dirwol chuckled. "If there are those like you I may have to look into other things." He joked.
