}:Look at the little queen,:{ Menanth remarked as his rider finished oiling him. D'ren turned to follow his dragon's gaze and saw a young man with a gold firelizard perched on his shoulder. }:I want a better look,:{ the bronze said as he began to move toward them.
**Hold on. She looks small, so she might be young. You wouldn't want to scare her, would you?**
}:No.:{
**I'll go over and ask her person if it's okay.** D'ren gave his dragon a pat and walked over to the young man. "Excuse me. I'm D'ren, rider of bronze Menanth. My dragon is rather interested in your little gold."
"Then tell him to come on over. Treasure likes meeting the dragons here."
He smiled. His small gold looked up, and watched the dragon. she cocked her head and chiruped. "I'm Dirwol and this lady is Treasure and that fellow there is Flips." He pointed to a blue as he did a few flips in the air above them. "Nice to meet all of you." D'ren waved his dragon over. Menanth walked over eagerly, leaning his huge head down to peer at the firelizards.
}:I like the blue one, too. He is much smaller than Aosorath,:{ the bronze said.
D'ren laughed. "Quite a size difference!"
Treasure and Flips both took to chattering at the bronze. "It would seem they like him." Dirwol smiled at their antics.
"I bet you get to meet a lot of people with those two around," D'ren said with a smile. "Yes, Treasure seems to bring many around. It seems everyone is curious.
Most wonder how it is that I came to impress them." He chuckled and smiled.
"I tell them I was just too lucky."
"I feel the same way with Menanth," D'ren said as he watched the firelizards flutter around the bronze's head. "Although he says he chose me because I was the right one."
Dirwol smiled as he motioned for the oyung rider to sit with him. He knew it could be a while before they were done conversing. "So, tell me about where you come form and what brought you here. You look vaugely familiar."
"I was born in a small hold in Emerald Falls territory and apprenticed to Harper Hall. I was Searched from there and was lucky enough to Impress that lovely creature," D'ren nodded toward his bronze.
"I'm a Harper also. What was your name before impression?" He asked.
"Doren," the young rider said. It felt strange to use his old name.
"Hmmmm, I seem to remeber someone with that name." he thought a moment.
"So, how does it feel to be a rider now?"
D'ren smiled widely. "It's wonderful! I've wanted this my whole life. I'll be graduating soon, which makes me nervous, but I'm sure Menanth and I will do fine in the fighting wings."
"He looks like a fine fellow and I'm sure you'll both do fine. Trust is your greatest ally. You in him and he in you. But I'm sure you knew that."
"Yeah." The bronzerider nodded. "But it's still nice to hear."
Dirwol smiled at the bronzerider. "Well i'd better get out of here. These little ones are starting to get a bit hungrey and I know they can get very demanding. I will see you around."
"It was nice meeting you, and your lovely firelizards," D'ren said, smiling.
"And I was indeed glad to meet the both of you." He smiled as he walked away.
