Description: Yara arrives at the Dolphin Hall to be greeted by her grandfather
Location: Dolphin Hall
Date: month 4, day 19 of Turn 4

The Dawn's Crest came into harbor just as the sun was
setting. As thread was expected the next day, the
captain had been very motivated to make their
destination, despite the necessity of a late arrival.
Having been assured her things would be brought to the
Hall as soon as possible, Yara had packed a small
rucksack and was ready to disembark as soon as the
gangplank was lowered.

She looked back, with a twinge of guilt. The captain
had wanted a few last words with her father, and
knowing how anxious the girl was to greet her
grandfather, Race had encouraged her to go on ahead.
Although the journeywoman felt rather immature in
doing so, she allowed her excitement to rule in this
instance and departed as soon as the sailors gave her
the go ahead.

"YARA!" Swift couldn't help but call out to the girl
- young woman - as soon as he saw her. He had been
excited enough about their arrival but when he caught
sight of the girl and recognised her so certainly as a
grown up Yara he had had to shout a greeting or burst.
He waved and skipped out of the way of the heavy
lines being thrown down to the dock workers.

"Boppa?" Yara turned toward the voice which sounded
distantly familiar to see an older gentleman that she
recognized immediately. "BOPPPA!" she yelled with
more enthusiasm waving back and the moment she was
allowed, she was racing down to greet the man,
throwing her arms around without hesitation.

Swift found himself hugging Yara, laughing and asking
how her journey had been and where her father was, all
at once, finally slowing down enough to release her
and make one clear statement: "Welcome to the Dolphin
Hall, Yara."

"Thank you Boppa," she answered finding that a tear or
two escaped despite her laughter and smiles. "Our
trip was uneventful. The captain needed a word with
Da before he left the ship, and I am afraid I was
terribly unprofessional and just couldn't stand to
wait. He sent me ahead to greet you. It is _so_ good
to see you again," she stated, looking up into the
face that had danced in her memories all of these
turns. He was older of course with a few more
wrinkles and grey hair but he was still the man she
remembered. "You aren't nearly as tall as I
remember," she joked giving a little sniff, "But just
as handsome."

Swift chuckled. "I might not be as tall because
you're twice the height you were when I left." He
caught her arm and led her back from the where
the other passengers and crew had begun to disembark.
"Come out of the way before we get run down. How do
you like the look of the place?" he
asked, turning so they could look up at the cliffs
into which the old SeaHold had once been built. Now
it served the dolphineers as a Hall. "It's bigger
than we need right now, of course, but with people
arriving all the time that won't last forever."

"I love it," Yara answered. "The cliffs are
comforting and it seems that they might be whispering
age old secrets to the waves as the sea brings news of
all that is new. I am so excited to be part of this
new Hall. Perhaps, someday I'll stand here with _my_
granddaughter and tell her of when you were here to
welcome me."

Swift smiled. "That's a lovely thought." He glanced
over at the Dawn's Crest and caught sight of his son.
"And you can tell her that her great-grandfather was
dragging his feet, as usual, and was one of the last
passengers off - just the way you were the first."

Yara chuckled, "Only because he was fulfilling his
duties."

As they stood together in comfortable silence waiting
for Race, all the many, many questions she had for
Boppa swam in her head. What of this dolphineer he
mentioned in his letters? She absolutely loved the
fact that her _grandfather_ had a love interest. And
how was the Hall recovering from the storm? What of
the Weyr? What more could Swift tell her of the
masters and crafters here?

Standing in the comfortable embrace of the man who had
been her closest confidant and solid supporter all
these turns, Yara decided that the questions could
wait. Right now she just wanted to quietly revel in
the joy of being reunited with her Boppa once again.
