Physical Description of Persona:
Rhudas is a tall man, standing heads above many, and slim as opposed to slender. He is all sharp angles and hard lines, with narrow shoulders and hips. A good deal of his height lies in his legs and it shows in his walk, long and sweeping. He is a force that moves through Emerald Falls Hold like a gale. Most of his emotions are shown in his stride- his angry rush, confident swagger, anxious pacing. He's not a man that sits still.

The grey slowly increasing in his beard and hair contrast against the darkness of his skin and hair. His face, like the rest of him, is sharp and severe; a long, oval face with prominent cheekbones, a sharp nose, and thin, pursed lips. His brown, nearly black eyes, on any other face, might have looked welcoming- but on him they are intense and cold.

And his voice, how can someone describe his deep, rumbling voice? He’s not unaware of this and loves to talk, loves to command an audience. He has a harper's lungs; he can raise his voice to bellow and shout when the situation presents itself, an angry roar that can drown out a clamor.

Emotional Description of Persona:
Rhudas is quiet. There is an understated confidence there, something that was once cockiness that has settled. He can be dangerously charismatic when he chooses; he has a memory for names and faces and little tidbits of information. He can easily remember a son or daughter’s name, a birthday, a gift preference, information that he stores away for later. It all serves a use and a purpose…even if he’s not entirely sure what that is at that exact moment. He is well-liked by the people of Emerald Falls, one of the healers that has been around for turns; delivering babies, making salves for arthritis, resetting bones.

He has little use for frivolities, for fun, for things that don’t serve a use or a purpose anymore. Useless is a word that he uses as a curse. Useless things are less than actual things.

History of Persona:
Rhudas has come a long way from his humble origins. Born to a cotholder family deep in the interior of Emerald Falls territory, the third eldest son of too many children. The family was never rich, not with the size of the land nor the amount they could produce, but they managed to get by. They scrimped and saved to pay dowries for the daughters and apprenticeships for the sons, and Rhudas was lucky enough to be accepted to the Healer Hall. He had a good mind for memorization and an easy way with folks, and took to pharmacy and making medicine. Shortly before he walked the tables, he got word that his younger brother, Felizrakin, had been Searched. A rare opportunity, with the clutches only just starting to grow larger and more frequent, and between the increase in tithes and Feliz's quiet preference for masculine company, the family was glad to see him go.

He walked the tables with little issue and began a series of short-term postings, where he met his wife and started a family of his own, eventually settling down in Emerald Falls Hold proper. F'liz always found time to visit with his blue Pelivath, and he and his weyrmate became the favorite uncles to his children.

The two kept in close contact with their roots and sent as much money home as they could. Tithes only continued to increase as the Weyrs reopened and as the threat of Thread became a reality.

F'liz's weyrmate died in Threadfall first. Two turns later, F'liz followed. The losses hit Rhudas' entire family hard. Rhudas himself has become more closed off, more severe, and he no longer stops to look at the dragons in the skies above.
