Physical Description of Persona:
S’kawa is a man built on a heroic scale, tall even among tall riders, broad shouldered, and thick through the chest and arms with sun-burnished warm brown skin. His physique is lean but heavy with muscle, the kind only earned through decades of discipline, effort, and consistent drive towards self-improvement. His curly black hair falls to his shoulders, framing a strong-boned face with a clean-shaven commanding jaw, a broad flat nose between high cheekbones, and dark, deep set eyes.

Emotional Description of Persona:
Those who knew him as a weyrhold youth remember a restless and volatile storm. Rough around the edges and positively kinetic, quick to laugh, quicker to fight, and always dependable if a scrap broke out. He was hot-headed and competitive to the point of brutality, driven by a deep need to prove himself.

Impressing Tectonth levelled him out. Thread returning polished him further. His innate energy never vanished, instead it was redirected. His drive now manifests as discipline, organisation, and the relentless pursuit of improvement. Gone is the youthful recklessness but he remains intensely competitive, channeling his efforts into training, believing in preparation over optimism and luck. He is demanding of his peers and subordinates, but most of all himself.

Despite the steel exterior, he remains a natural motivator. He is blunt, honest, and capable of drawing effort from others simply by outworking them.

History of Persona:
S’kawa was born into an old smith line at what was then Dragonsfall Weyrhold and all he ever wanted was a dragon of his own. His parents were skeptics of Thread ever returning and insisted their son anchor himself in craft before chasing dragon dreams.

He apprenticed initially under his blacksmith father then under a Weyrhold master smith, thriving in the physical demands of forging, and quickly earning a reputation for endurance, strength, and fierce competitiveness, constantly at odds with weyrlings he envied for flying while he hammered steel. Only his grandfather S’paros, the only dragonrider in the family in several generations, encouraged the obsession with Impressing, quietly certain Thread would return.

Impressing bronze Tectonth did more than fulfill a lifelong dream for S’kawa, it focused him. The restless aggression that once spilled into brawls hardened into discipline. He poured himself into training, flying, and physical conditioning, emerging as a rider defined by stamina and precision. His craft training wasn’t forgotten and S’kawa would eventually reach senior journeyman rank, specialising in bladesmithing.

The return of Thread heralded a new chapter in S’kawa’s life and his first Wingsecond, then Wingleader positions. Effort once spent on perfecting formations and drills to lead Dragonsfall teams to victory in inter-Weyrhold games now crystalised into true battle plans. He carried his competitive discipline directly into Fall, repurposing every ounce of drive towards survival, protection, and constant analysis geared towards improving his Wing’s performance.

In subsequent Turns he was no stranger to further rank and responsibility, culminating in the Teal Wingleader posting for several Turns before being reshuffled to Pinnacle Wingsecond as part of a restructure under K’reyel, not long before the tragedy that would decimate Teal under I’serin. The timing carved a wound he does not discuss. His mind replays the decision endlessly: could he have fought harder, argued louder, to retain his position? Would Teal still be whole?

Though he carried the bitterness of being demoted and passed over despite a record of tangible and very real successes, it never touched his work. The Wing and Weyr come first.

Family and Friends
Sanneik, 20, Weyr Resident, Dragonsfall Weyr (son)
Naskamek, 12, Weyrbrat (son)

Dragon's Name: Tectonth
Dragon's Age: 24
Dragon's Hatching Date: m13 d1
Dragon's Hatching Place: Dragonsfall Weyr
Dragon's Colour: Bronze
Description of Dragon:
Tectonth is built thick through the neck and chest, his wings broad like giant sails rather than sleek. His hide gleams the ruddy-brown of freshly alloyed bronze, warm and dark, catching the light like banked metallic embers. He relishes physical exertion and his endurance is legendary. It’s not uncommon for the pair to join the sweepriders post Fall despite flying the entire duration. His presence is imposing but not aggressive. Mentally, Tectonth is quiet and economical. He speaks rarely and with precision. He has no patience for drama.

Pets

Bleyda, Blue Firelizard: aged 18, hatched m10 d21
Bleyda is a sleek cobalt blue firelizard whose hide darkens to near indigo along his spine, giving him a sharp, ink-brushed silhouette. From the same clutch as Benjo that S'kawa found during a coastline survey, the pair have received diligent training and their behaviour is impeccable. He is attentive, watchful, and remarkably patient.

Benjo, Blue Firelizard: aged 18, hatched m10 d21
Benjo is a somewhat stockier version of Bleyda though with near-identical colouring. It’s easy to mix the two up, especially when the other isn’t there to make the comparison. Also incredibly well behaved, but of the two, Benjo is the more affectionate and more likely to wander off on solo adventures.
