Physical Description of Persona:
S'neik is tall and built like his father, broad shoulders, long limbs, and a powerful physique that he carries with a guard’s economy of motion. He inherited S’kawa’s keen hunger for athletic prowess and remains lithe despite the solid weight of him.

His brown skin carries copious amounts of freckles, especially across his nose, cheeks, and shoulders, and anywhere else exposed to sunlight. His eyes are bold and black, and his hair a riot of dark, ruddy brown curls that bleach towards blond when grown long, a trait he encourages with near fanatic dedication. In fact, he is forever experimenting with oils, soaps, tinctures, herbs, and any and all dubious Weyrfolk remedies to coax it lighter. He claims it makes him look exotic, and therefore more attractive, and nothing will dissuade him from this belief.

His face is marked by the evidence of a youth lived at high speed, having stopped no small number of punches and at least one broken bottle. There is a crookedness to his smile now that suggests fists, rocks, and poor decisions. Like with his hair, S'neik believes the scars add character, and therefore desirability, and no argument will convince him otherwise.

Emotional Description of Persona:
S'neik is loud, impulsive, and magnetic in a way that draws people in even when they should know better. He is his father’s son in that regard, just as volatile, with drama following him like a loyal canine. Some of it he causes. Some of it simply finds him.

Under the swagger is a surprisingly disciplined core. S’kawa’s influence and the last four years serving with the Weyr’s guards have carved a vein of diligence into him. He takes pride in his work, is reliable under pressure, and pushes himself harder than most expect. Recognition means more to him than he admits. When overlooked, he burns hot and quick with frustration.

He has a long history of friction with authority and, once settled into the guard ranks, a particularly spectacular feud with the weyrlings, a rivalry now bordering on tradition.

It remains to be seen what influence Bhalerith will have over him, or vice versa.

History of Persona:
Sanneik was left to run amok until he was apprenticed to the Smithcraft at twelve, largely under pressure from his father rather than any passion for it. He proved capable and hardworking, advancing to senior apprentice in what might be seen as reasonable time but the work never brought him joy. He tolerated it and only agreed to continue under the condition that he remain at the Weyr.

When more rigorous study loomed and consecutive clutches failed to produce a dragon to call his own, he bailed and shifted paths, joining the ranks of the Weyr’s guards. The structure suited him better than he expected. Four Turns later he was a competent, well-trusted guard with a reputation for energy, reliability, and a suspicious knack for being in the middle of any unfolding drama.

By the age of twenty Sanneik almost made peace with the fact that no dragon waited in his future. Bhalerith, however, had other plans, and on the first day of the second month of Turn 13, Sanneik became S'neik, Impressing the small but exquisite bronze and following in his father's and great-grandfather's footsteps.

Description of Dragon:
Bhalerith is small and almost delicate looking, but exquisitely formed. His sleek and perfectly proportioned form is sheathed in hide like the rich near-black patina of oil-rubbed bronze. The deep, earthy tones bear only a few subtle highlights: a pale wash rippling across his wing sails, and the faintest dappling along throat and belly, like light brushed across old, well-polished metal.

Where his rider is quick-tempered and energetic, Bhalerith is the opposite - the steady stone. Nothing unsettles him. Every challenge is met with quiet certainty and grounded confidence, his calm as magnetic as S’neik’s vibrancy. Even S’neik’s occasional bursts of temper or frustration puzzle rather than provoke him, and the young bronze answers not with agitation but with patient stillness that tempers his rider’s fire with unwavering composure. He offers foundation and certainty, a presence others instinctively rely upon, and he never falters in the face of adversity.

Chisel, Brown Firelizard: aged 4, hatched m2 d4
Chisel is a compact taupe-brown firelizard whose hue tends towards the ‘cool’ browns and a weathered grey effect rather than the warmer hues an umber shade would bring. He is calm and settled, unfazed by crowds or sudden actions, and the opposite of clingy.

Given to S'neik by his father as a proud reward for passing his senior apprentice tests, Chisel was meant to mark a future in the craft, a future promptly abandoned when he quit the apprenticeship to join the Weyr guard.
