Physical Description of Persona:
Miryene is somewhat short for a woman, and still amply curvacious after her recent pregnancy. Her reddish blonde hair is very straight, and Miryene has let it grow out to nearly her hips. It is her one vanity, and she spends perhaps a bit too much time taking care of it.

Hazelish grey eyes are large and slightly tilted, and sit beneath thin straight eyebrows. There is something about her that always seems sad, even when she's smiling or laughing with the children she cares for.

Emotional Description of Persona:
Miryene is very insecure, and desperate to hide it. She is uncomfortable showing vulnerability to anyone, and if she's ever forced into having a serious talk with someone about her problems, she's not above lying.

Having been left by two husbands now, Miryene is starting to develop serious self-esteem issues, not helped much by the fact that her second husband had a tendency to turn violent when he'd had too much to drink.

History of Persona:
Miryene grew up in the Vinter Hall, and has never been farther from the Hall then Amethyst Cliff Hold. Her mother helped in the kitchens, and her father was one of the Hall's gardeners, but Miryene showed an inclination for neither. She was only fourteen when she started helping care for the younger children in the Hall, and was more than happy to act as a foster mother to those children whose parents duties kept them busy elsewhere.

When she was seventeen, she married one of the young journeymen at Vinter Hall. Ivenn was twenty-six and a nice enough young man, and Miryene was fond of him, even if she wasn't completely sure she loved him. Miryene became pregnant almost immediately, but was ill almost from the beginning of the pregnancy. A string of miscarriages followed, the strain on the relationship and Miryene's refusal to give up destroyed her relationship with Ivenn. After nearly a turn of fighting and emotional upheaval, their marriage was declared ended, and Ivenn accepted a transfer to Dolphin Cove. Miryene stayed at Vinter Hall as a foster mother, and spent several long turns trying to overcome the feeling of failure left by Ivenn's departure.

One of the friends who helped her through her troubles was Jhonnel, a journeyman Vintner with marital problems of his own. When Jhonnel's wife left him in much the same way Ivenn had left her, Miryene and Jhonnel grew close. Unfortunatly, that closeness became _too_ close, and after consuming a reckless quantity of alcohol at the party thrown in honor of Lord Alalir's new wife, Miryene found herself in bed with Jhonnel.

Jhonnel confessed his transgression to the Hallmaster, who saw Miryene married off to Jhonnel within the sevenday. Though the marriage could have been happy, the stressful beginning and Jhonnel's continued drinking problems spiraled out of control until Miryene and Jhonnel were hardly speaking to one another. Miryene discovering that she was pregnant only caused more problems, and before long most of the Hall knew that Jhonnel was mistreating his wife.

The Hallmaster eventually got involved, but before they could send Jhonnel away to the Healer Hall for treatment with a mindhealer, the journeyman vanished.

Surrounded by meddling men, Miryene soon found out that the Hallmaster intended to find her yet another husband as soon as he could. When he brought her first husband back in an obvious attempt to marry her off again, Miryene shocked many people by accepting a rather rash proposal of marriage from Jio.

It is clear that Jio cares for Miryene more than she cares for him, and though she feels guilty for using him to avoid a marriage arranged for her, she hopes that she'll grow to love him as they raise her newborn son together.
