Physical Description of Persona:
Marathi is a small woman who seems to shrink when around groups of people. She has dull brown hair, like her son. Her eyes are a unremarkable brown. She limps slightly from a poorly healed break and no healer ever saw. She has many scars, courtesy of her former husband Artias.
Emotional Description of Persona:
Marathi is quite, respectful, courteous and kind. Not many see that however. She has been frightened out of her mind by her former husband and never offers information. She is proud of her eldest and grateful to be in the Weyr away from Artias. The last turn has shown her that not everyone is crazy or cruel and she may yet for more than working relationships with others.
History of Persona:
Born the youngest daughter of a minor holder, Marathi had great ambitions, she wanted to become a healer. Her father however decided that the minute he could he would marry her to whomever he could. It proved to be difficult for Marathi
was not a pretty girl. When she was sixteen a much older man, Steward of Jade Harbor Hold, Artias, came to their small hold. There was something about the man that terrified her. Within the month they were married. By the next turn Marathi was pregnant with their first child. Artias named him Martias. Marathi miscarried several children, as the result of beatings at Artias's hands. Over
the next thirteen turns she gave birth to a total of five children, the youngest is now a three turn old girl. When Martias impressed his brown Woenth the Heir of Jade Harbor Hold arranged for Marithi to attended the hatching over the threats and objections of her husband. She was able to bring her other children with her. When the hatching was over Marithi simply remained in the Weyr. She now works as a drudge. She fears that Artias will one day return for her, but knows that she would never return to him.
